How to appropriate sharing ageLOC boostTM

October 9, 2020

Nu Skin is always at the leading edge of beauty technology. By striving for innovation, Nu Skin is welcoming the advent of a ground-breaking beauty device --- ageLOC boost™.

As the public launch is approaching, Brand Affiliates have started sharing this remarkable new product on their social media platforms to let more people know about it.

In order to ensure that Brand Affiliates are sharing the correct and appropriate product claims, Nu Skin has published Social Media Guidelines, Product Testimonial Guidelines and Policies and Procedures to guide our Brand Affiliates on how to share the products properly. Let’s take a look at the following case study to understand how to share the product properly.

Cammy: ageLOC boost™ will be available soon. So, we can use it anytime, anywhere for skin care. I’m so excited!

Jackie: I can’t wait! I’ve shared the powerful functions of ageLOC boost™ with friends on Facebook and Instagram, and some of them have already placed orders with me.

Cammy: Really! Several of your posts sharing ageLOC boost™ have received dozens of likes! It looks like people are really interested in it! Wait a minute... there’s something wrong with some of the content you’ve shared!

Jackie: Really? What’s wrong?

Cammy: Like this one, you said, “With this portable beauty device, you have the best way to get a firm V face. When used with the Activating Treatment, it is as effective as a botox shot, so you don’t have to spend money on treatment at the beauty salon anymore!” In another post, you said: “2 minutes a day, you can easily enjoy lymphatic drainage, draining away the toxins and you can say goodbye to pimples!” ; “Can you imagine that  this small device has a powerful function that it can erase the spots on your face like an eraser and return you flawless ceramic skin?...” ageLOC boost™ is an innovative home use beauty device that can help improve skin’s hydration and radiance, but it doesn’t have the dramatic effect of firming or sculpting a V face, lymphatic drainage, detoxifying, removing spots etc. Nu Skin has always been advocating that we should follow Nu Skin’s officially approved product information to promote and advertise the products. However, the product claims you have shared in these posts are exaggerated and inappropriate, which obviously violates the rules and regulations of the Policies and Procedures and relevant guidelines of Nu Skin.

Jackie: Actually, most of the content is forwarded from other partners’ posts, so it should be fine?

Cammy: No. It’s your responsibility to make sure that the content you’re forwarding is appropriate. Whether you write it by your own or you just share someone else’s post, you have to be careful about what you’re posting.

Jackie: I see. I’ll be very careful from now on! I’m glad you’re here, or else I wouldn’t have known that I’ve violated the rules and regulations of the Policies and Procedures and relevant guidelines of Nu Skin! I will remember not to share exaggerated and inappropriate product claims in the future. But how to share the products appropriately?

Cammy: You’ve got two great posts here! “Two minutes a day, ageLOC Boost™ helps you treat your skin before you go out, boost your skin’s natural beauty for brighter, plumper and bouncier skin” ; “With Nu Skin’s exclusive technology, ageLOC Boost™ gives you a beauty boost in just two minute. When used with the Activating Treatment, it helps you achieving glowing, youthful looking skin anytime, anywhere!” These are the product claims in Nu Skin’s official publications. As long as we follow Nu Skin’s official product information, we can avoid violating the rules and regulations of the Policies and Procedures and relevant guidelines of Nu Skin. Now, please remove the content that is in violation of the rules and regulations.

Jackie: Sure! I will immediately remove all of them, thanks for reminding!

When sharing ageLOC Boost™, please be sure product claims should be consistent with the applicable Nu Skin Product Information Page, marketing and training guidelines that govern the product. Even if true, a personal testimonial, product experience, or claim is not allowed if it is inconsistent with the applicable Nu Skin marketing materials. Please also avoid using, sharing, or forwarding any inappropriate or exaggerated product claims. If Brand Affiliates make, share or forwarding inappropriate product claims, once confirmed, he/she will be subject to strict disciplinary actions. In order to protect business reputation of you and Nu Skin, please follow the guidelines and share products in compliance.
