In recent years, the development of network technology, including e-mail, comment boards, and private messaging, has enabled the break-through of the limitations of geographical space, facilitating the interaction among Brand Affiliate and helping them develop unfamiliar markets. However, although the convenience of the Internet brings a lot of benefits to life, it also brings unprecedented impacts and challenges, including excessive expansion of freedom of speech, invasion of privacy, improper speech and so on ...

In order to prevent ourselves from becoming unwelcome figure on the Internet, we need to examine our own network etiquette! The following are a few unwelcome behaviors on the Internet, which Brand Affiliates should be aware and avoid.

Spread fake rumors

A lot of rumors or information which are difficult to distinguish between true and false are often circulating on the Internet. When we are exposed to such information, do not share, or repost them without verification; you must verify the authenticity of the information if you want to share them.

Malicious defamation

We can enjoy freedom of speech, but freedom of speech does have a bottom line. Do not spread rumors or leave inappropriate remarks with a fluke mind of "no one knows who I am." After all, malicious slander or abuse on the Internet may not only hurt others but may even violate the law.

Turning a disagreement from embarrassment to anger

We must maintain a healthy attitude when developing cold markets on the Internet, if there is no response from the other party or when the other party expresses disagreement with your ideas, do not block him/her or use threatening, offensive language to attack or provoke him/her. This not only fails to achieve the outcome of developing new customers but may also outweigh the gains by offending customers and affecting personal reputation. If you and the customer are at a significantly different position and cannot further communicate, simply thank them for their precious time, then devote our time to the next customer.

The cyberworld appears to be virtual, but indeed everyone behind the screen is a real person. Everyone hopes to utilize the Internet resources in a healthy environment, but a healthy cyberworld cannot be established by individuals or regulations alone. It requires our joint efforts and mutual respect. Brand Affiliates, let us abide by the Netiquette and work together to create a healthy cyberworld!
