Nina became a Brand Affiliate under the sponsorship of her cousin a few years ago. However, Nina’s cousin emigrated to another country, leaving no time to follow up with Nina. Nina has not placed any orders in her account for a year.
At the gathering with university classmates last month, Nina met her good old friend Amy, and discovered that Amy is doing Nu Skin business upon graduation, and she is doing the business very well. Nina hoped to learn from Amy and make a progress in her own life. She hoped to run Nu Skin business as a sideline business in addition to her full-time job. Nina discussed this with her cousin, and her cousin also supported her in finding a direction and a new target in life. Nina dated Amy and went to the Nu Skin showcase to deal with the procedures for changing the sponsor. The customer service staff advised that according to the Policies and Procedures of Nu Skin Hong Kong, Nina must wait for at least 12 months of inactivity before she could change sponsor. Nina and Amy were at a loss that Nina has not placed an order for a year, isn't the inactive period long enough?
After the customer service staff explained in detail, they finally understood that the "activities" refer to "any business activities" that benefits, promotes or assists the business of a Brand Affiliate Account, including signing a Brand Affiliate Agreement, purchasing Products from or returning Products to the Company, sponsoring and/or recruiting new Brand Affiliates, use of credit cards, shipping services, or any other activities that the Company, in its sole discretion, determines to be a material promotion of the Company’s business. Many Brand Affiliates are not aware that receiving bonuses (including sharing bonuses) is also regarded as a business activity. During the inactive period, even one does not place any orders himself/herself, but if he/she receives a sharing bonus because his/her downline purchases products, this is also considered a business activity. Since one of Nina's downlines bought some products last month and generated a sharing bonus, Nina's last activity date is therefore the date when she received the sharing bonus.
