Too Busy? Burned Out? Stay Motivated.

Without proper action, even the most determined and tenacious worker can suffer from burn out. Here are five actions recommended by the Direct Selling Education Foundation to help you stay motivated.

1.       Encourage others. By motivating others, you will feel encouragement yourself. Seeing that your reassurance helps others achieve their goals will provide much needed positivity to help you succeed.

2.       Be positive. Talk to yourself in a positive way and on a regular basis. Be your own cheerleader, so when problems arise you know you’ll be able to overcome them. If you need help, take a lesson from Jessica:

3.       Play your favorite music and Dance. It. Out. If you don’t dance, any type of physical exercise will do. Exercise causes endorphins to be released into your body. Endorphins are chemicals produced in your body that trigger positive feelings.1

4.       Sing or hum out loud to your favorite song. A study published in Nature Neuroscience showed that a group of college students had significantly more dopamine released in their brain when they heard their preferred music as opposed to someone else’s. Dopamine is a chemical that sends signals to the rest of your body and plays a role in your motivation.2

5.       Work together with a partner. Working with someone else increases accountability, which drives motivation. By working with a partner that has similar ambitions and interests, you’ll be more effective.
