Nu Skin Malaysia sponsored its annual Wish List Party fulling more than 400 wishes for underprivileged children from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Kuching. The party was the culminating celebration of the Wish List Project that began in 2008 to fulfill wishes for children suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD). The project evolved into a partnership with the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) Foundation in 2011, and now each November grants wishes to children who have survived open heart surgery funded by Nu Skin Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund.

The project works with wish cards hung on a Christmas tree beginning in November where Nu Skin Malaysia sales leaders may pick from to purchase gifts listed, realizing that these are wishes asked for by CHD children. Wishes granted include a wide array of toys, clothing and sports equipment.

“In celebrating IJN Foundation’s 20th Anniversary, we are blessed to have Nu Skin as our corporate partner to help us pay for surgery costs of children who suffer from heart problems,” said YBhg Datin Julini Mohd Ali, Fundraising Chairman of IJN Foundation. “These kids have been given another lease on life due to Nu Skin’s generosity. The Wish List Project is another avenue where these patients are able to meet their sponsors and receive gifts from them.” ■
