BBP & PD BBP (2019)

Effective January 1, 2019

 

These rules governing Nu Skin’s Executive Brand Director and Presidential Director Business Builder Positions (“ BBP” and “PD BBP,” respectively) are to be used collectively with the Policies and Procedures and Velocity . These Rules form a part of the Velocity. Any capitalized terms used and not defined herein shall incorporate by reference those terms as defined in the Policies and Procedures and Velocity Brochure.

BBP

1. Qualification

A BBP account is established for Brand Affiliate Accounts (“Parent Account”) in the first month in which they achieve Executive Brand Director status with 6 G1 (first-generation) Brand Representative and at least 3 Leadership Teams. For purposes of these Rules, a Brand Representative shall mean

(1) Meeting the qualification requirements of Velocity for “Brand Representative” status;

(2) a newly sponsored Brand Representative for that month.

 

2. Purpose

The BBP is provided to Executive Brand Directors for the accumulation of additional Leading Bonus as well as all other types of Brand Representative bonus commissions that can be earned by a qualified Executive Brand Director account.

 

3. Rules for  BBP

The following Rules shall govern the  BBP accounts:

(a) The  BBP is placed directly under the Parent Account. However, a  BBP does not count as a first-generation Brand Representative for purposes of Title qualification or other qualification or recognition for the Parent Account.

(b) Only newly sponsored Members, Brand Affiliates and Customers can be placed under the BBP. Existing Members, Brand Affiliates, Brand Representatives and customer accounts under the Parent Account cannot be transferred or merged to or under the BBP

(c) The Parent Account cannot use the BBP to make purchases. There is no separate Block requirements for the BBP account, and all non-breakaway volume under the BBP will be combined with the Parent Account non-breakaway volume for qualification purposes.

 

4. Commissions

The  BBP will earn all commissions/bonuses that a qualified Executive Brand Director account is eligible to receive as long as the Parent Account and BBP Account remains qualified for a  BBP as defined herein.  Commission payout to a  BBP account will continue as long as the Parent Account continues to maintain a minimum of 6 G1 (first-generation) Brand Representatives and at least 3 Leadership Teams (Leadership Teams of the Parent Account and BBP Account can be merged), at the meanwhile, meets all other requirements for Executive Brand Director commission payout under Velocity. At any time, such requirements are not met, after taking into account all transfers made pursuant to paragraph 5, then the  BBP is paid as a Brand Affiliate.

 

5. Transfer of Brand Representatives to Parent Account

If the Parent Account falls below 6 first generation Brand Representatives, Nu Skin will automatically transfer first-generation Brand Representatives, of any title, from the  BBP to the Parent Account as available and necessary to meet the difference; with such transfer to be effective as of the first month in which the Parent Account failed to maintain 6 first generation Brand Representatives.

 

(a) Nu Skin will move the most recent first-generation Brand Representative (determined by the date the account became an Brand Representative) to the Parent Account, and so on until no accounts exist to be moved. Any exceptions to this must be approved by Nu Skin.

 

(b) Such transferred accounts may not be moved back under the  BBP account unless a new first-generation Brand Representative is developed under the Parent Account within 6 months of the date that each account is moved up, and the Parent Account provides Nu Skin with written notification of this request within the same 6 month period. The account first moved to the Parent Account, during this same 6-month period shall be moved back first, and so forth.

 

6. Failure to Maintain Brand Representative Status

The  BBP account will be deleted from the system if the Parent Account falls out of Brand Representative status and no longer has the Brand Representative re-entry option available as described in the Velocity (e.g., already used or past the 6-month window).

 

7. Exceptions

Nu Skin may in its sole discretions grant exceptions to these Rules and the criteria for those exceptions. All exceptions to these Rules must be set forth in writing.

 

Presidential Director BBP

1. Qualification

A PD BBP account is established for Parent Accounts in the first month in which 6 first generation Brand Representatives and at least 4 Leadership Teams are achieved, as determined on a combined basis between the Parent Account and the  BBP account.  A  BBP must have been granted in order for a PD BBP to be granted. A  BBP and PD BBP may both be awarded in the same month.

 

2. Purpose.

The PD BBP is provided to qualifying Presidential Directors for the accumulation of additional Leading Bonus under the Velocity as well as other types of Brand Representative bonus commissions that can be earned by the BBP and Parent Account except noted below. 

 

3. Rules

The following rules apply to PD BBP accounts:

(a) The PD BBP is placed directly under the  BBP account. However, a PD BBP does not count as a Brand Representative for purposes of Title qualification or other qualification or recognition.

(b) Only newly sponsored Members/Brand Affiliates and customers can be placed under the PD BBP. Existing Members/Brand Affiliates/Brand Representatives and customers that are established under the Parent Account and  BBP account cannot be transferred or merged to or under the PD BBP.

(c) The Parent Account cannot use the PD BBP to make purchases. There is not separate Block requirements for the PD BBP account, and all non-breakaway volume under the PD BBP will be combined with the Parent Account and  BBP non-breakaway volume for qualification.

 

4. Commissions

The PD BBP will earn all commissions/bonuses that a qualified Executive Brand Director account is eligible to receive as long as the Parent Account remains qualified as defined herein. Commission payout to a PD BBP account will continue as long as (i) the Parent Account continues to maintain a minimum of 6 first generation Brand Representatives and at least 4 Leadership Teams on a combined basis with the  BBP; and (ii) a  BBP account is maintained. At any time such requirements are not met, after taking into account all moves described in points 5, then the PD BBP is paid as a Brand Affiliate.

 

5. Transfer of Brand Representatives to Parent Account

If the Parent Account falls below 6 first generation Brand Representatives, Nu Skin will automatically transfer first-generation Brand Representatives, of any title, from the  BBP or PD BBP accounts as available and necessary to meet the difference as described below; with such transfer to be effective as of the first month in which the Parent Account failed to maintain 6 first generation Brand Representatives.

 

(a) Nu Skin will move the most recent first-generation Brand Representative (determined by the date the account became an Brand Representative) from either the  BBP or PD BBP account and so on until no accounts exist to be moved.

 

6. Return of Brand Representative Accounts

Any accounts transferred pursuant to points 5 above may not be moved back under the  BBP or PD BBP account unless a new first-generation Brand Representative is developed under the Parent Account or  BBP account within 6 months of the date that each account is moved up, and the Parent Account provides Nu Skin with written notification of this request within the same 6-month period. The account first moved to the Parent Account shall be moved back first, and so forth.

 

(a) If the PD BBP is no longer available at the time of the request (i.e. Parent Account and  BBP on a combined basis is no longer at least 6 first generation Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams), the G1 Brand Representative will be placed on the BBP.

 

(b) If within the same six-month window, the Parent Account regains 6 G1 Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams (on a combined basis with the BBP), the Parent Account can request a subsequent move from the BBP to the PD BBP if the account was originally under the PD BBP.

           

7. Deletion

The PD BBP will be removed from the system if the Parent Account falls out of Brand Representative status and no longer has the Brand Representative Re-entry available as described in the Velocity (e.g., either already used it or is past the 6-month window).

 

8. Exceptions

Nu Skin may in its sole discretions grant exceptions to these Rules and the criteria for those exceptions. All exceptions to these Rules must be set forth in writing.

 

9. If there is any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail (this rule is applicable to Hong Kong and Macau).

 

FAQs

1. Do I need to complete recognition title qualification in order to receive the BBP or PD BBP?

 

a. The BBP and PD BBP will be awarded in the first month in which a qualifying Executive Brand Director or Qualifying Presidential Director meets the associated requirements.  The Executive Brand Director recognition title will be awarded in the second month in which a Qualifying Executive Brand Directors  meets the associated requirements.  The Presidential Director recognition title will be awarded in the sixth month in which a Qualifying Presidential Director meets the associated requirements. As such, a leader does not need to have completed the recognition qualifications to receive a BBP or a PD BBP.

 

 

2. If I am paid as an Executive Brand Director under the terms of the Velocity for the first time and I have 6 G1 Qualified  Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams, can I receive both the BBP and the PD BBP in the same month?

 

a. Yes, a BBP and PD BBP may both be awarded in the same month if requirements are met.

 

 

3. If I am a re-qualifying Presidential Director, will my PD BBP be set up in the first month in which I have 6 G1 Qualified Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams ?

 

a. Yes.

 

 

4. How will the creation of the BBP and PD BBP in my downline impact my commission payout?

 

a. Each of these accounts will be treated as a separate breakaway Brand Representative account in the genealogy under the Velocity.   This will impact commission payout as follows:

 

i. For BBP accounts, (1) volume placed under the BBP will be volume one level below the parent account (GSV of a G1 Breakaway Brand Representative rather than GSV of the Parent account for payout purposes) and (2) qualified Brand Representative under the BBP will be G2 Breakaway Brand Representative to the Parent account (G3 for the upline Brand Representative of the Parent account and so forth) for purposes of determining the payout of the Breakaway Bonus for upline Brand Representatives.

 

ii. For PD BBP accounts, (1) volume placed under the PD BBP will be volume two levels below the Parent account (GSV of a G2 Brand Representative rather than GSV of the Parent account or the BBP account for payout purposes) and (2) Brand Representative under the PD BBP will be G3 Brand Representatives to the Parent account (G4 for the upline Brand Representative of the Parent account, and so forth) for purposes of determining the payout of the Breakaway Bonus for upline Brand Representatives.

 

 

5. When will my PD BBP account be created if I already maintain 6 G1 Qualified Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams as of January 1, 2019?

 

a. All qualifying Presidential Director with  6 G1 Qualified Brand Representatives and 4 Leadership Teams will be identified following the December commission run and a PD BBP will be set up for them.

 

 

6. Can I view my PD BBP account in V&G?

 

a. Yes, the same web login that you have established will work for all 3 accounts (Parent, BBP, PD BBP) and all 3 accounts can be viewed in V&G. The ID number of the BBP will be the same as the Parent with the suffix “BB”. The ID number of the PD BBP will be the same as the Parent with the suffix “BC”.
