Nourish The Children Reaches New Milestone

VitaMeal

Nu Skin’s Nourish the Children Initiative recently surpassed 300 million donated meals. Since its inception Nourish the Children has been supported by a steady stream of VitaMeal purchases and donations from generous Nu Skin employees and distributors around the world.

The program first began in 2002 as a way to alleviate hunger, and today is feeding nearly 120,000 children every day. Each meal provides much needed nutrition to support both physical development.*

“We are fortunate to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves,” said Steve Lund, chairman of Nu Skin Enterprises board of directors and executive director of the Nourish the Children initiative.

“Malnutrition is rampant in many parts of the world and we are actively fighting it. We are providing hope and eliminating hunger with every bag of VitaMeal we sell and distribute. There is so much more to be done, but with the help of the Nu Skin family of distributors and customers, we are feeding a hundred thousand children every day.”

Gloria, a six-year-old from Malawi, was malnourished and suffering when she started receiving VitaMeal. She is one of six children of a single mother who lost her husband to the HIV/AIDS virus. The donations from NTC give Gloria the energy to be social as she helps cook and prepare VitaMeal for children at the local orphanage, and support her as she learns to read and write.

With the continued support and commitment of each member of the global Nu Skin family, the Nourish the Children Initiative is creating new smiles every day as we help solve the complex world problem of feeding malnourished children.

Let's talk about it: How does helping others make you feel?
