Nu Skin is strongly committed to ensuring that both the company and its sales leaders remain compliant with local laws and regulations.
One of the cornerstones of our Company is our set of core values. These values are the essence of who we are and what we continuously aspire to be—Innovative, Compassionate, Optimistic, Ethical, Honest, and a Force for Good. These values are integrated in everything that we do—from our product development, our social responsibility projects, our goals, our programs, the way we deal with one another, and in the way we conduct our daily business activities.
In order to assist our sales leaders in this endeavor and to better help them understand their obligations as Independent Distributors, Nu Skin has created the following policies and guidelines. As our leaders actively apply these guidelines to their daily business activities and cultivate these principles within their sales teams, we are confident that each will have built the foundation necessary for establishing a successful Nu Skin business.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our Distributor Compliance Department email@example.com for further guidance.
From time-to-time, the company will issue important updates or “advisories” that could have a meaningful impact on a Brand Affiliate’s business and the company’s reputation. We ask that Brand Affiliates check back often, as business advisories can and will change on a regular basis. Please be advised that violating any of the advisories listed below could result in disciplinary action. Please see the “Contact Us” section for information on how to contact the company with questions or report violations.
One of the most meaningful ways that we can enhance our reputation and protect the company is to ensure that we are appropriately promoting the Nu Skin opportunity and products. As you are aware, sharing inappropriate claims about the business opportunity and products is viewed as harmful and misleading to consumers and can put the company – and your own business - at great risk. Furthermore, given the ongoing global pandemic, it is important to remember that our actions as a company, and as independent Brand Affiliates, are subject to a heightened level of scrutiny by both regulators and the general public.
In accordance with our policies, as well as guidance from regulators and consumer protection advocates in several markets, we wish to remind you of a few important principles when promoting the Nu Skin business and products. Please note that these principles apply to all social media and online platforms, including social media posts, online videos, meetings, Zoom calls, and one-on-one interactions.
The Company views inappropriate product and opportunity claims as serious violations of policy. Therefore, we ask that you partner with the company to ensure we eliminate all such claims by immediately removing any recent and older social posts, which may contain references to COVID-19 and the pandemic. Having said this, the company finds it necessary to take immediate action to prevent ongoing claims from harming the company and its reputation. Effective immediately, all COVID specific violations will result in a 10% withholding of bonus commissions for one (1) month. Repeat violations will warrant additional action, including, but not limited to, termination.
Please keep the following guidance in mind when promoting Nu Skin opportunity and products:
We ask for your cooperation and assistance as we work to protect the company and its reputation and set a standard for marketplace trust. We must continue to be a Force for Good throughout the world. Nu Skin encourages all Brand Affiliates to continue promoting both the products and the business opportunity in accordance with policy as well as the Opportunity Testimonial Guidelines and Product Testimonial Guidelines.
If you have any questions regarding this notice, please don’t hesitate to contact your Account Manager or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

The TikTok Community Guidelines prohibit the posting or sharing of content that promotes or depicts multi-level marketing. Consistent with our mission to be a force for good, and in order to uphold the company’s reputation, Brand Affiliates may not promote the business opportunity through the TikTok platform, including, but not limited to, posts about Nu Skin related events, incentive trips, or Affiliate promotions. Brand Affiliates can only use TikTok to promote company products as long as content does not violate Nu Skin’s Policies and Procedures and other sections of TikTok’s Community Guidelines, including country-specific requirements, restrictions, or claims.
As one of our newest products, Reset is an amazing supplement with proven benefits. In order to maintain the momentum we’re seeing as our Brand Affiliates continue to promote Reset, please remember to stick only to approved claims found on our website or the Product Information Page. Even if you or your customers have experienced great results from taking Reset, only official claims that have been substantiated by Nu Skin can be shared. Additionally, unapproved claims regarding medical/health conditions or weight loss (including before and after pictures) cannot be used.
EmpowerSTART Incentive Program:
Nu Skin is excited to introduce the EmpowerSTART Incentive Program, which allows Brand Affiliates to earn incredible bonuses by achieving important performance milestones. When promoting this new incentive, it’s vital that all Brand Affiliates closely follow the EmpowerSTART Incentive Guidelines found here. Any promotion of the EmpowerSTART Incentive that is inconsistent with these guidelines is strictly prohibited.
WhatsApp, a well-known global messaging platform, recently updated Business and Commerce Policies for its standalone business application – not to be confused with the personal WhatsApp application. The policies, which apply to all business tools, including the WhatsApp Business app and WhatsApp Business Solution, prohibit businesses from transacting in products or services related to multi-level marketing. Consistent with this policy, any Brand Affiliates utilizing the standalone WhatsApp business application or tools must immediately cease any and all promotion of the Nu Skin products and business opportunity using the business platform. Please note that Brand Affiliates may continue to utilise WhatsApp Business for non-Nu Skin related personal use.
Pinterest’s Advertising Guidelines prohibit users from posting certain types of advertisements, including those related to multilevel marketing models. These guidelines further prohibit all content related to weight loss from being posted/shared, including advertisements. As a result, Brand Affiliates can in no way use advertisements on Pinterest to promote the Nu Skin business opportunity, products, or weight management programs – even advertisements only directed at people who have engaged with you. However, Brand Affiliates may continue using pins to share information about the products and business opportunity, in accordance with Nu Skin’s Social Sharing Guidelines. All content must also comply with the requirements of Pinterest’s Paid Partnership Guidelines, including endorsement requirements (e.g., #ad, #sponsored).
*These business advisories are not intended to replace Nu Skin's policies and/or guideline documents. Brand Affiliates must comply with the requirements contained in the Social Sharing Guidelines, the Opportunity and Product Testimonial Guidelines, and any other guideline documents provided by the company.
