These are some of the numerous positive feedback received from our Distributors, who attended the Shanghai Pharmanex Incentive Trip in November 2006. Over 300 Business Leaders from Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei & Indonesia had qualified for the incentive trip, and returned fully charged to further expand and share the great business opportunity Nu Skin Enterprises has to offer.
With a population of over 18 million, Shanghai has the largest base of Chinese industrial technology, including a vibrant commercial and financial center. The participants had plenty of opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of this “Oriental Paris” city and its neighboring city, Hangzhou. Apart from indulging in Shanghai's renowned cuisine, they were given a tour of the Bund, Wu Zhen Water Village, and Hangzhou’s West Lake.
During the 5-day visit, the Distributors participated in workshops run by Pharmanex Scientist Directors, Dr DC Zhang & Dr Josh Zhu, to gain in-depth knowledge behind the Pharmanex® 6S Quality Process. Participants were later assigned in groups to present their understanding and importance behind each stage of the quality process.
The presentations were certainly entertaining as they dramatized their explanation of Selection, Sourcing, Structure, Standardization, Safety and Substantiation. For instance, one group acted a short drama on how to choose the best weight management product while another did a news report on poor quality supplements that cause a health scare!

It was a logistic challenge to transport over 300 people in and around Shanghai. Spilt into two primary language groups — English and Mandarin, the Distributors visited the Pharmanex R&D Center in Shanghai, where Dr Min Li, the center's Director, revealed how the products' ingredients were tested on their efficacy and screened for any contaminants.
Then, they traveled by coach for almost three hours to the newly renovated Huzhou manufacturing plant, where its General Manager, Sherman Chen, explained the stringent quality procedures taken during manufacturing processes of Pharmanex® products.
Throughout the trip, the support staff of Nu Skin Enterprises took care of the numerous details of the trip. Everyone was committed to deliver the best assistance needed for the comfort of the Distributors, even when they only had 3 hours of sleep!
The sacrifice was definitely worth it as the participants were truly appreciative of the warm hospitality extended to them by the host market, China, and the corporate staff, who came with them. Most importantly, everyone was encouraged to mingle with their fellow Distributors whom they would not normally meet. They felt a stronger sense of belonging — as ONE family of Nu Skin Enterprises Distributors!
With the success of the 2006 incentive trip, we hope to see even more Distributors gear up for 2007's Incentive Trip — to a land famous for its seasonal TV dramas, South Korea! Let's keep the business momentum up and enrich others to make a Measurable Difference in their lives!
