Dagfinn Langerud is a native of Norway and came to the Nu Skin business after working as a plumber in his homeland.
“I had my own company, plumbing,” he said.
It was while owning his own business that Dagfinn was introduced to Nu Skin through his wife—who first learned of the opportunity from Dagfinn’s sister. Dagfinn really had no interest in Nu Skin or the distributor opportunity upon first learning of the company.
But it was after seeing the effects that Nu Skin had on his wife, and more importantly, how stable and consistent the income seemed to be, Dagfinn went through a change of heart.
“I got more and more interested in what was happening,” he said. “And I started to check out the company and what it is.”
In January of 2009, Dagfinn left his plumbing job and business behind and joined Nu Skin as a full-time distributor.
Now a proud member of the October Blue Diamond Trip, Dagfinn and his family are realizing dreams and goals being accomplished through Nu Skin that they once thought never possible.
“We have never been to the United States before,” he said. “This year, after joining Nu Skin, I’ve been in the United States three times.”
While the traveling and the chance to visit America has been nice for Dagfinn and his family, what he values more is the opportunity to spend more time with each other.
“The most important change is that we have time to each other again,” he said. “Not just meeting each other in the door.”
Dagfinn now has the convenience of working with people from all over the world from the comfort of his home. The global opportunity that Nu Skin provides is something that Dagfinn gets excited about.
“It’s a global business,” he said. “You can work in 48 countries from your home. So it’s extremely exciting to have the opportunity to build a business worldwide.”
Dagfinn’s advice for those who are also interested in the Nu Skin opportunity is to make oneself visible to people and educate oneself in the business.
“You don’t have to reinvent the wheel,” he said. “Stay focused. Talk to people. It’s the main thing. Start the business.”
