In 1999, Tobbe was locked in a situation with 3 different businesses, working around the clock. In his earlier years, he had hoped that by the age of 40 he would have developed his companies to a level where he could relax and enjoy life, but it was still more work than fun. His big passion was motorbikes, but there was no time for this, either. That passion was also an expensive one…

 

“I started my professional career as a hairdresser, and before I knew it, I was the owner of a hair salon, something that I never had any passion for. My interest and passion throughout my whole life had been motorbikes. Now (1999) this passion had turned into two of my three businesses, and the joy I felt for my hobby was killed when it turned into a stressful business that really did not pay off financially. In the end, I did not like any of the things I was doing. My passion was dead. The more business I integrated into my hobby, the less pleasure it gave me. I was trapped in a situation I really did not want because of the lack of “leverage”. Everything depended on my efforts, and it stressed me out totally.

 

In the end, my businesses required me to work 16 hours a day just to “keep the wheels turning”.

 

Tobbe was open to a change in his life. After saying no to a family member who had been introducing him to the Nu Skin opportunity for 5 years, he finally changed his mind when the Norwegian market opened, becoming one of the pioneers in this region. This market was, and still is, one of the most successful in Europe.

 

Anita was working in the fashion industry as a sales and marketing director and as a consultant for brand building and events. The day she gave birth to her son Julian she realised that she was unhappy with her work-life balance and wanted to be able to focus on her family as much as her job. “When you are paid a high salary, you are expected to be highly committed and make sacrifices”. Following Julian’s birth, she really had to rethink her employment situation. Was it worth it? The answer was no. “I was incredibly open to change, and I was searching and waiting for the right opportunity for one and a half years before Nu Skin found me. After a 3-hour long business presentation (from none other than Tobbe) I knew this was it! This is what I am going to do”. She dove in headfirst and created a huge organisation, achieving a record-breaking first month as a Brand Representative.

 

Of course, this power couple also had to “find each other” in love. They started to work together, and from there, their shared efforts and cooperation helped them to reach Team Elite and increase the earnings of their organisation. At that time, their organisation had one of the fastest growth rates in Europe.

 

After 3 years, they moved to Spain where today they run their business from Marbella and are enjoying life, even though they are still highly active in a business that has grown to include many markets. Through Nu Skin, they found what they wanted from both life and love. Now, they have time to live out their passion for motorbikes and the time flexibility to spend more time with their children and work from different places.
