  1. Why are lipocarotenes™ important?

    A Lipocarotene™ is a matrix of carotenoids and fatty acids that enables efficient absorption and transport of these important nutrients. Gâc contains high levels of fatty acids which creates a lipocarotene™ structure to deliver highly-bioavailable carotenoids. Compared to beta-carotene found in dark-green vegetables, beta-carotene from Gâc fruit appears to be more easily absorbed, presumably because of a more efficient release of the bound molecule from the matrixes of Gâc and the presence of long-chain fatty acids in the seed membrane and pulp.

  2. What types of carotenoids are found in Gâc fruit?

    Gâc fruit contains a variety of carotenoids. The concentration of lycopene is about 70-fold higher than that in known lycopene-rich fruits and vegetables and the beta-carotene is about 10-fold higher than that in known beta-carotene-rich vegetables. Gâc fruit is also richer in oils than other common fruits and vegetables. In a clinical study, subjects given Gâc fruit (3.5 mg/day beta-carotene) resulted in greater plasma levels of beta-carotene than that of another group given pure beta-carotene powder (5.0 mg/day).

    g3™ is a 100% natural fruit juice with no added sugars. Diabetics can consume g3™ as part of a healthy diet. It is easy for Diabetics to incorporate g3™ into a meal or as a snack when following the American Dietetic Association's Diabetic Exchange list. Based on the calorie and carbohydrate content, three (3) fluid ounces of g3™ would equal one (1) fruit exchange, or one (1) fluid ounce would equal 1/3 fruit exchange. For comparison, one (1) fruit exchange is also equal to a small banana, a medium peach, or four (4) fl oz of orange juice.

  10. What is the shelf-life of g3™?

    g3™ should be stored in the refrigerator once it is opened. It can maintain the bioactivity of the nutrients and avoid bacteria growth. It can be kept for about 2 weeks once it is opened. For optimal efficiency, please consume g3™ as soon as you open it.

  11. I've noticed a change in color in recent g3™ batches. Is g3™ standardized?

    The g3™ formula and quality specifications do not change from batch to batch. However, color may vary slightly because g3™ is a 100% natural juice with numerous naturally-occurring fruit pigments. These slight color variations do not affect the quality of the product or health benefits. In fact, it is an indication that we do not add any artificial ingredients to mask these natural variations. Our process is very similar to using grapes for juice or wine; there may be a slight variation in color, even though the grapes may come from the same vineyard. The most significant feature of g3™ is the fact that like all Pharmanex products, g3™ must pass the stringent 6S Quality Process, including standardization, which ensures consistent health benefits. g3™ is standardized for antioxidants, such as vitamin A (beta-carotene) and vitamin C content, and is processed under controlled conditions to ensure purity, potency, and safety.

  12. Is g3™ adversely affected if left out in cold temperatures?

    No. It is recommended that g3™ be refrigerated (especially after opening). Cold temperatures will not damage the nutritional content in g3™, and if anything will keep the juice fresh. If frozen, one may see a separation of the lipocarotenes from the juice. Simply thaw the juice and shake well before consuming. Bottle may break if frozen for longer than 12 hours.

  13. Why do the Nutrition Facts show 0 grams of fat on the g3™ label? How can there be any lipocarotenes if there is no fat?

    g3™ does contain lipocarotenes, a matrix of fatty acids and carotenoids. However, the total fat content in g3™ is less than 0.5 grams/fluid ounce. In the US and Singapore, if the fat content is below 0.5 grams/fluid ounce it can be reported as 0% fat.

  14. Is g3™ safe for consumption for pregnant women?

    g3™ is a natural fruit juice and is safe to be taken by pregnant women. Traditionally, the seed membranes are used to make a tonic for children and lactating or pregnant women, and to treat “dry eyes” (xerophthalmia) and night blindness.

    The recommended dosage is 30 to 90ml with morning and evening meals. Refrigerate after opening. For optimal results, take with LifePak®. It should be drunk as tolerated.
