With a knack for sniffing out great business opportunities, Henry ventured into photo processing before digital photography virtually eliminated the need for print and owning a guitar shop when strumming the stringed instrument to xinyao songs was all the rage in the 1980s. The former civil engineer and Information Technology employee-turned-entrepreneur then went into insurance and became a top agent within a short span of time. “Our basic needs for food and shelter as defined by Maslow’s hierarchy of needs were more than satisfied through my insurance business. However, as we move up the hierarchy to reach the higher needs for self-actualization and fulfillment, I realised I was far from my aspirations for true time and financial flexibility and the ability to help others,” Henry shared. A faithful user of the company’s products for more than a decade, Henry believes that he is living life in reverse. “Even as age catches up, I feel wonderful despite my hectic travel schedule and in the pink of health. I age younger with ageLOC’s products and one of my favourites is R2 which really makes me feel young and energetic.” the 54-year-old gushes.
For someone who had no knowledge about personal care and supplements or direct selling, Henry has definitely come a long way. To him, it is all about making the right choice. “Belief is the beginning and perseverance is the ending in this business. We can work very hard at any career or business, but it is the choice we made that makes all the hard work worthwhile,” Henry disclosed in retrospect of his working life. “Nu Skin enabled me to have wider reach in not just realizing my personal ambitions but those of my loved ones and the goals of people I have the privilege to work with.”
