Clinton Zheng always knew what he wanted: to be a successful entrepreneur with a thriving business of his own. Even as a student, he has his mind set on pursuing an entrepreneur career. For this reason, he chose to major in business and finance in university, thinking it would bring him closer to his lifelong dream. However, even after graduating with double degree honours, something still felt amiss. So, he went on to do post-grad law but soon realized being “booksmart” does not pave the way towards entrepreneurship.

 

"Having realized that the only way to learn to become an entrepreneur is to be one, I dropped out of post-graduate law school to focus on my pursuit to become an entrepreneur. I didn't want to waste any more time." Clinton shares. "From thereon, I started a fashion retail and e-commerce business. It took a lot of hard work and sleepless nights, but the business really took off."

 

It was through his e-commerce venture that he met his life and business mentor, Mr. Rayne Ho who has a successful Nu Skin business. Clinton found Nu Skin products interesting and enjoyed learning about business from Rayne. To give Nu Skin a try, he took up Nu Skin as a side gig while running his retail business.

 

The turning point came when Clinton got married. While he enjoyed his business, he was putting a lot of time into it. His priorities shifted when his first child was born and he wanted to spend more time with his family. He knew he had to find another endeavour that offered better work-life balance.

 

"Fortunately, there’s Nu Skin. I didn't really pay much attention to it before because I was busy with my fashion retail business. But when I wanted to be more available for my loved ones, it became the ideal platform for me," Clinton shares. "Seeing how Rayne had a flexible schedule by doing Nu Skin, I asked myself: why am I not doing the same thing too? It was still my own business and I could incorporate all the things I love about being an entrepreneur into it. It was a no-brainer, so I committed to the business full-time and since then, it had been a blast."

 

It was also at that time that Velocity was introduced, and Clinton saw how he could help more aspiring millennial entrepreneurs like himself become successful. Armed with his millennial marketing strategies, he set out to transform the network marketing industry through Nu Skin, turning it into an appealing and viable career opportunity for young entrepreneurs. Clinton's Nu Skin platform grew, and his team of millennial leaders thrived under his dynamic leadership. As a recognition of his success, he recently achieved the Executive Brand Director title.

 

"For me, the most important key to success is the strong desire to succeed,” he says. “When you have this pure determination to make things happen, you can overcome any challenges that may seem impossible at first.”
