“Stay young, stay hungry!"

Sometimes, all you need is to know what you want and just go for it. It is this approach to life that got 22-year-old Sek Yean to where he wants to be. Since young, he dreamed of having a business of his own. "I am an ordinary guy.  I have no special skills or particularly gifted in anything," says Sek Yean. "When I first decided to join Nu Skin, all I had was this burning desire to achieve my goal to be an entrepreneur.


As it turned out, this fiery desire was what paved the way for Sek Yean to achieve the coveted Executive Brand Director title.


This achievement was no easy feat as there were many obstacles along the way. Fresh out of university, Sek Yean took up the Nu Skin opportunity while he was still serving National Service. It didn't matter that all he had was the weekend to work on his business, he did his best anyway. "Admittedly, it was very tough in the beginning as I had to juggle National Service and a new business at the same time," he says. "When I started, I had zero experience and no network at all. My parents were also completely against it, so it was challenging in so many ways. Fortunately, my mentors were there to give me the support I needed."


Whether it was a personal issue or a business-related obstacle, Sek Yean refused to let any kind of difficulties pull him down. Throughout his Nu Skin journey, he chose to see his challenging experiences as a learning process. "I am thankful for all these hurdles because they allow me to learn and grow into a resilient leader and become a better entrepreneur,” he shares. For some people, Nu Skin may just be a side hustle. But for me, Nu Skin is my one and only. I am all in.


Sek Yean’s confidence and passion for Nu Skin didn’t just materialize out of thin air. After having first-hand experience of Nu Skin’s warm and people-oriented culture, it really resonated with him. “It has been a fulfilling journey for me so far. Apart from enjoying time flexibility and leveraged income, Nu Skin also gives me the opportunity to help others to discover their best selves. This is what makes all the hard work worth it in the end.”
