For Mary and Desiree, it seems, money doesn’t make the world go round. But being a Force For Good is the principle that permeates all that they do. Including the Nu Skin business. Their good-for-all belief started their journey with Nu Skin at the end of 2005 and brought them to one of the most significant milestones in the business… that of becoming Executive Brand Director.
“I have a strong aversion to Direct Selling,” Mary proclaimed. Being an insurance agent for more than 15 years, Mary didn’t think Nu Skin can offer anything that could rival insurance in terms of protection and tangible benefits. “My reputation is more important than profiteering so I’m very careful with the things I recommend. We all need to make a living, but no one must be harmed in the process.”
Due to her skepticism about Nu Skin, Mary and Desiree spent a long time learning and researching about the company. “It took me about one year of attending trainings and finding out more about Nu Skin and its products before I was convinced and took up the business opportunity,” Mary recounted. Through her research, she found that Nu Skin can provide people with something that’s better than insurance. There are the products to help them achieve health and beauty and the business opportunity has the potential to generate leveraged income.
For Mary, however, the greatest satisfaction comes from something that no amount of money in the world can buy. “I have a downline who’s an established singer in Singapore. During a gala dinner performance, that person thanked me on stage for introducing Nu Skin. I can feel that person’s gratitude and I was so moved. That’s what this business brings… priceless, touching moments.”
Integrity above making a sale.
