Going with the flow and bending where the wind blows… that was Phyllis’ general approach and attitude in life. Adaptability and flexibility have always been key strengths of the former Portfolio Manager with a Swiss bank. With those personality assets, she joined Nu Skin and her journey has awakened her confidence to take control of the direction she is heading. It was as if she was on a boat floating in the open sea, going where the tide goes. But now, she has found an oar.


Phyllis knew about the Nu Skin business opportunity more than 10 years ago but only started getting serious to build her network in 2012. “Nu Skin has been an emotional roller-coaster ride for me. Like many people, we all fear rejection and it took me a long time to get used to it. Whenever I get rejected, especially from friends, I feel disheartened and went back to my comfort zone of doing what I was used to” Phyllis disclosed. “But over time, I’ve come to accept that rejection is natural and a part of the business. The adrenaline rush from helping people succeed outweighs the hardships and challenges I face in this business.”


The mother of two first encountered Nu Skin through the ageLOC TR90 Weight Management. Her weight loss was so dramatic that people around her started asking for her secret. Phyllis was hesitant at first about Nu Skin as a possible career but with her second pregnancy, her perspective in life changed and she yearned to have more time for her family. Then in 2012, a turning point came after a trip to a Nu Skin convention in the United States. “I was very inspired and decided that it is time I take my Nu Skin business much further,” enthused Phyllis.


Going into Nu Skin full-time has allowed Phyllis to unleash her entrepreneurial spirit and tap into her inner zen. “When I encounter rejections now, I recover much faster and look at all things that happen positively. I am very focused on my goals and tasks daily and direct my activities and mindset in accomplishing them.” Phyllis is definitely more objective-driven compared to her previous self but what remained the same is her warm, easy-going personality that immediately puts people at ease. Nu Skin is a people’s business and Phyllis has her heart in it.


Achieving the Executive Brand Director title is only the beginning. Phyllis is very grateful to her upline Circle of Excellence III , Lilian Ong, for not giving up on her, and her husband Philpp for his encouragements and unwavering moral support. Moving forward, the endearing leader has her sights set on achieving the Circle of Excellence milestone and aims to help more people find their paddle, sail, or soar.
