It is every mountain climber’s dream to reach the peak, but not every one can get there. So what does it take to get to the top? According to Lynn, “It is believing in yourself that you can do it. You must first believe before you can see the ways to attainment. The methods will come once you commit and focus on your goal.” An avid sportsperson with a passion for mountain climbing, the vivacious leader applies these same principles to her upward climb in Nu Skin. “Take one step at a time, especially when the going gets tough. Don’t give up until you reach the summit and when you look back, the hard work will be all worth it.”
A former account manager in advertising sales specialising in the automotive sector, Lynn endured 14 years of high pressure and stressful demands of the media and creative industries before getting serious about Nu Skin in 2016. Starting her journey in the business with a few self-imposed roadblocks, Lynn has come a long way to become the leader she is today. “Although I needed to lose weight and seen testimonials of Nu Skin products, I didn’t try them until I was on the brink of medication. The products improved my health,” the mother-of-two shared. Her transformation attracted followers and she was selling Nu Skin products in no time. Witnessing how the products benefitted so many people, Lynn decided to go full force into the business. She thought she knew it all on how to build a strong network but quickly realised that her ego was stumbling her.
“It is not just about sharing the products but adopting the mindset of a leader. I have to learn from zero to put people’s interest first. I have a lot of flaws that no one told me until I was in the Nu Skin business. I didn’t think I could have such a big heart until I’m here. The culture gave me an opportunity to breakthrough myself and become a more positive person,” Lynn said in all honesty. Contrary to the belief that network marketers have few friends because people constantly avoid them, Lynn has found an extended family through quality friendships and partnerships “with a group of light-hearted people that share a common goal and vision to help others succeed. It is not about the pin title or the money for me anymore but the joy of seeing people improve holistically and being better beyond their expectations.”
Achieving the Executive Brand Director mark is but a scenic spot along the way up. Lynn is grateful for her family’s support and understanding and the bolts left by her uplines to chart the climb. She is also very thankful to her team who is her life line, harness and motivation to go further and higher. As the leader continues her ascend, she looks forward to helping more of her downlines to achieve greater heights!
