It is not an easy task to juggle parenthood and a career. Following the arrival of her second child, Phyllis Luo, who was a portfolio manager in a Swiss private bank, soon realized the increasing difficulty to strike a balance between family life and her demanding corporate job. Phyllis knew she wanted to focus more on her family and these factors eventually contributed to the decision to look for other opportunities.


It was at this point in life that she took the step to venture into Nu Skin. She was glad she did because ever since she made this decision, things began to piece together perfectly for her. Now, a recently recognised Circle of Excellence I, Phyllis enjoys more fulfilment in her personal life than before. She can also spend quality time with her children while pursuing her passion in sharing the amazing products and helping others transform their lives through Nu Skin.


When Phyllis first started the business, it was a bumpy road for her given her lack of experience or knowledge in sales. Initially, facing rejection from customers and prospects affected her greatly but with time, perseverance and guidance from experienced Nu Skin leaders, she gained confidence and worked towards achieving greater achievement in her business. A key factor to her achievements is to set bigger goals so she can be more focused, and the motivation to achieve them will be far greater than the setbacks she faces along the way. She also attributes her achievements to the support she received from her husband in her walk with Nu Skin.


Through the ups and downs in her Nu Skin journey, what kept Phyllis going are the life transformation product and business stories and positive feedback from the people she had helped and supported. "Whenever someone comes to me and tells me how I have helped them transform their life through Nu Skin, it inspires me to carry on with renewed enthusiasm. In the end, all the hard work, commitment and long hours is worth it," Phyllis says, adding that Nu Skin has also been a great source of empowerment for her, propelling her to achieve the best version of herself.


" She encourages anyone who wishes to join Nu Skin to go into it whole-heartedly because when you venture into something with passion and joy, reaching your goals will just be around the corner. While there might be challenges, she advises new leaders to never give up and see them as opportunities to step out of their comfort zones and learn something new.


"It was a good thing I persevered through back then when things got tough," Phyllis reminisces. "Looking back, I can see that everything is part of a learning process that got me to where I am today. Moving forward, I aim to help even more people to achieve their goals.”
