For Boon Hin and Joey, it all began with knowing and believing in what they were selling. Having experienced Nu Skin's TRA Weight Management Program and seeing fruitful results that led to weight loss and a healthier body, they knew that Nu Skin is totally different from other products and businesses.
These results convinced them to explore the business model further. After researching it for a period of time, Boon Hin, who was an engineer and Joey who was in the marketing field decided Nu Skin was a viable business to get into. It has always been their dream to finally own a business that allows them to help others as well. Nu Skin offered them just the right opportunity to do so.
Upon starting their Nu Skin business, Boon Hin and Joey jumped right in by sharing as much as they can about the product and the business model with those around them. As their friends and family members could see proven and visible results from their healthier and fitter body, many were open to it. However, there were also some of them who completely rejected what they were sharing. Eventually they got over the rejections and turned their focus to improving their business skills.
It was truly a journey of learning for both of them. As they both have little experience in selling, it is not an advantage but an obstacle to them in the beginning. Nevertheless, Boon Hin and Joey were grateful that they got to learn so much from their mentors including Circle of Excellence IV, Rayne Ho and Angela Liew; Circle of Excellence III, Ong Gee; Circle of Excellence III, Lilian Ong; Circle of Excellence III, Chua Syer Cin; Circle of Excellence II, Mr. and Mrs. Yap; Circle of Excellence I, Tan Swee Kim and Circle of Excellence I, Wong Chee Siong and Ms. Ng Lee Nah. Learning aside, there were also many memorable experiences in their Nu Skin journey. One of them was Nu Skin’s Star Academy trip to Bali in 2015 which was the couple’s first vacation together.
Recently recognized as Nu Skin’s new Executive Brand Directors, Boon Hin and Ng believe that success is right around the corner; but it is something that each person has to choose. Ang also emphasises the importance of self-belief - when you strongly believe in what you are sharing and selling, you can overcome any challenges and strengthen your influence power as well.
