Fight Those Food Cravings
Fight Those Food Cravings

Struggling to curb those midday cravings? We all have them, but there are ways to control them. Learn how to help satisfy your hunger through better nutrition and supplementation.
Nutrition. Trade in that processed snack for a healthy alternative! For increased energy and to feel full longer, combine protein with a carbohydrate—preferably something high in fiber. For example, a handful of almonds with an apple; Greek yogurt and fruit; apples or celery with organic peanut butter; or healthy crackers with string cheese, hummus, avocado, or other vegetables.
What if you’re craving chocolate or sugar? Get your fix without sacrificing taste with some of these healthy alternatives: pre-portioned servings of fat-free chocolate Jell-O pudding, frozen grapes, Weight Watcher ice cream bars, homemade wheat thins, a small handful of chocolate chips made with cacao, Greek yogurt, or a small handful of trail mix.
What if you’re snacking even when you’re not hungry? Try some of these ideas: chew gum while preparing dinner, brush your teeth after eating, eat slower and allow your body to respect its hunger and fullness cues, stay hydrated by drinking water throughout the day, or use a smaller plate during meals. Avoid eating in front of the TV or directly from a package—that way you can pay attention to how much you eat. Always have a healthy snack available to help reduce emergency trips to the vending machine or fast food place.1
Supplement. Pharmanex offers two premier weight management systems and a targeted solution to help fight food cravings.
MyVictory (available primarily in the U.S. and Canada) and TRA (available in Asian markets) are both designed to help curb appetite and control cravings. These weight management systems offer meal replacement shakes that provide satisfying fiber. They also provide several other ingredients selected for their ability to curb appetite by supporting healthy blood glucose levels. When blood glucose levels drop too quickly, the body often experiences carbohydrate cravings. Evenly sustained blood glucose levels decrease the occurrence of these crashes and the resulting food cravings they cause.2
Cortitrol is formulated to support healthy cortisol levels. Cortisol is the hormone produced in the body in response to stress. Chronic stress has been linked to weight gain, fluctuations in blood sugar, increased appetite, and carbohydrate cravings. Cortitrol combines natural ingredients that have been scientifically shown to have direct cortisol-balancing effects. As a result, Cortitrol helps provide enhanced feelings of well-being and control during stressful situations—helping support weight maintenance efforts.*3
The key to satisfying cravings is preparation. Make sure to prepare healthy snacks, and supplement before cravings hit.
