The term i4 Ultra Purification Technology is short for Intelligent Four-Stage Ultra Purification Technology. The EcoSphere Water Purifier meticulously and systematically purifies water, making your water clean and safe to drink. Each stage targets specific contaminants, large and small, without negatively disrupting water flow. The order of these steps play important roles.

STAGE 1: Polypropylene Pleated Prefiltration
The first stage of our ultra purification preps the water by removing larger particulates2 such as sand and sediment. The accordion-shaped, pleated arrangement of the polypropylene gives the filter more surface area than other prefilters, which also helps ensure the filter can effeciently process water without negatively impacting water flow.

STAGE 2: Compressed Activated Carbon Block
The second stage involves a special form of carbon that has been meticulously crafted for optimized contaminant extraction. Each block is molded under enormous pressure and high heat to ensure that water flows through in a uniform and consistent manner. These blocks are effective at reducing chlorine, lead and particulates. Carbon blocks have also been proven to reduce levels of organic contaminants.

STAGE 3: Polyether Sulfone Membrane
Next, water is passed through a special Polyether Sulfone (PES) membrane. This dense membrane is filled with microscopic pores ranging from 10nm to 100nm that trap a wide range of particles while letting water still flow unobstructed. This step truly seals our ultrafiltration claim, but we still go one step further to ensure that any residual microbiological contaminants are reduced in our next and final stage.

STAGE 4: Cold Cathode Lamp UV Light
UV light in general has the ability to reduce certain viruses3, bacteria, and cysts. 4 Our state-of-the-art UV lamp is designed to run effectively without requiring any periodic replacement.

Where should I place the EcoSphere Water Purifier?

Are there any restrictions to how I use the EcoSphere Water Purifier?
Do not place your purifier on its side or upside down. Do not twist any cords or hoses as this may cause your purifier to function incorrectly. The EcoSphere Water Purifier is intended for indoor use with a municipal water source and should not be placed in direct sunlight, stored in uncommonly hot/cold areas, or immersed in any kind of liquid.

Can I use safe drinking water for anything other than consumption?
The water collected using the EcoSphere Water Purifier is safe for any use, from drinking and cooking to bathing and cleaning. Whenever you need water that is clean and safe, look to your EcoSphere Water Purifier.

 

How often should I replace the 3in1 cartridge?
The LED indicators on your device will inform you when your 3in1 cartridge's life cycle is nearing its end and when your 3in1 cartridge's life cycle has expired. See your user manual for more details on these specific LED indicators. The average replacement cycle is 12 months, depending on water quality from municipal water source. 


How do I change the 3in1 cartridge?
To replace the 3in1 cartridge, simply twist the top of the old cartridge approximately 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and lift it out. Slide the new cartridge in, press down slightly, and rotate it clockwise until the small dot on the cartridge lines up with the lock icon on the EcoSphere Water Purifier. No special tools are necessary and the entire process takes only seconds.

Do I need to replace the UV lamp?
The UV lamp is built into the device and is designed to run effectively without requiring any periodic replacement.

Can EcoSphere Water Purifier be used on water from provincial or rural sources?
No, EcoSphere Water Purifier is designed to be used for municipal tap water—which is usually treated prior to going into homes. It is not designed for provincial or rural water sources.
