When I first got introduced to network marketing, I was working as a teacher. Then after building a business with one network marketing company, I was focused on my shoe and fashion business.


As a network marketer, I have always kept tabs on the top network marketing companies globally and Nu Skin was one of them. I had been aspiring to be with Nu Skin and I didn't even know that they are in South Africa until a neighbour sold me a Nu Skin toothpaste one day. I was so excited to find out that Nu Skin is here, so I asked my neighbour for more info and looked into the company. I did my homework, checked the products, sales performance plan, and local distribution channels. I was happy with everything. Time passed and I was ready for a new challenge, to do what I love the most...network marketing.


I then joined Nu Skin. I had already used the toothpaste and I was satisfied with it but after joining, I bought Epoch Polishing Bar and other toothpastes for selling purposes. I then introduced my friends to the toothpaste that I had already used by sharing my experience and results. Some of them agreed to try the toothpaste, loved it, and saw amazing results for themselves!


Some of them joined as Brand Affiliates and then we worked as a team to promote the toothpaste to more people. . I continued trying other products like ageLOC LumiSpa and other products within the Nu Skin and Pharmanex range. Each product delivered great results and lived up to its promises. I was then able to talk to people about the products that I've personally used and seen results from.


When I reached my first promotion to Brand Representative I was very happy. I was excited to build my own business and earn Sharing and Building Bonuses.


I then decided to focus and work hard on building my team and the business. We worked together and found our rhythm as a team by utilising different skills within the team. Of course, there have been challenges, but that did not stop me.  It gave me the strength to continue as I know it is an honour to be in the position I'm in. What an opportunity to be leading my own team and building my business with a great company like Nu Skin. It is an honor to lead my team and inspire them, and in return they inspire me! 


I am motivated by the competitive and innovative sales performance plan, and I set goals for myself and make plans to work towards them. A carefully crafted plan backed by hard work is the name of the game. The combination of a business opportunity, awesome products and efficiency in the administration is the real deal for me.


My top secret that I always share with my team is to continually stay focused. I focus on keeping in touch with my customers, so I can help them look and feel their best and with my team members, so they can get closer to reaching their full potential.


There are three things that keep me going and excited all the time.


1. Open-mindedness, focus, determination, and hunger for more information.


2. Teamwork; up line, down line, side-line all working together for the common goal of building a Nu Skin family.


3. The products, the business, hard work and ability to learn.
