GIVING A SMILE TO RUSSIAN ORPHANS

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimated that over 700,000 orphans live in Russia. Deprived of parental support, most of these children turn to crime, living on the streets, etc. It is impossible to remain indifferent while those children are seeking help.

Nourish the Children® aim is to unite people from all over the world to help those in great need, to help children from orphanages, asylums and the homeless. That’s why, since mid-2007, all VitaMeal bags purchased in Russia have been donated to local orphanages, which this way can invest more resources in other fundamental needs such as education and children's health.

Elena Kholmogorova and Venera Faizrahkmanova, Russian distributors, were introduced to the Nourish the Children® initiative in June 2008. After discovering that there were 18 orphanages in their region and the difficulties they were facing, Elena and Venera decided to support one of them, the “Neiron”. Since then, they have been working hard to gather VitaMeal bags and providing targeted support to children in need.
