I was introduced to Nu Skin and started my business on 27 November, 2010.
A few weeks earlier I received a phone call from one of my best friends. She told me about a business opportunity she wanted to present to me but was rather secretive, so I did not know what it was all about. But still, I decided to say yes! I knew she was very successful. Unfortunately I was off travelling so I didn’t get to meet her for another 3 or 4 weeks. I just told her on the phone: “I have no idea what this is all about but count me in!”
I decided very quickly, and the reason to it was my long time wish to earn money on a project that didn’t require too much on my behalf. I fancied the idea of not having to go to work every day. My goal is to run my own fitness and spa and for that I needed money; money to invest in a facility on my own.
I had been employed as an Operations Manager in Paris at a fitness center for four years. There I worked 12 hour shifts and had a steady income. My goal was to have my own fitness center in France within five years, and exactly four years after establishing that particular goal, I at least was running a place. I had a lot of experience, but didn’t have my own place, and didn’t have the money to invest. When the phone call from my friend came, I felt it was the perfect timing. I took the chance without hesitation.
My whole life I’ve established goals and five year plans. Friends and family always thought I was a bit odd filling my agenda from 7 am - 10 pm, but I have always made goals for five, three and one year at a time as well as different steps for every three months, weeks and days. Thanks to this habit I have always known exactly where I am heading and what I am striving for. There are tools for being this goal oriented; tools I truly appreciate and make sure to use.
The same thing goes for my business with Nu Skin. I made a new five year plan on my vision board with certain pin titles for certain months. I then broke it down to daily activities. Because I was living in Paris I didn’t have much time to build an organisation in Sweden. I had to be smart and efficient in my work.
I qualified as an Executive in December, just a few weeks after signing up. Then I focused and worked efficiently to become a Lapis in February, a Ruby in May and reaching Emerald level in August. Today I am running an organisation in Sweden, France and Germany. Making sure to always participate with my team at events, trainings etc. has been a big part of my success. We have all gained valuable knowledge about health, both inside and out, as well as experienced the tremendous security, safety and confidence of being connected to Nu Skin.
I soon found out I had created an organisation I had to coach and develop. I wanted to be able to focus 100 % on this and therefore resigned from the Paris gym on 01 September, 2011. Now I can continue to work towards reaching my goal and I will soon be able to launch my own fitness and spa somewhere in the world. This will be possible, thanks to Nu Skin!
I always stick to my motto: ”The only way is up!”
In other words: always focus on what’s ahead of you, your future. Where are you going? How do you want to live your life? If you don’t know the answers, how will you know where you’re going? Have a clear VISION! Be aware of your past but do not look upon negative setbacks as something that will stop you from moving ahead and fulfilling your dreams!
