Even while he was still in his junior year in college, Daniel Laogan, Jr. was already set vision on becoming a successful entrepreneur. It was also then that he found out about the Nu Skin business opportunity.

“I was initially skeptic of the industry,” Daniel admits. “But I found out through hard business numbers and facts that Nu Skin is indeed a robust and monumental figure in network marketing and the business world of the New York Stock Exchange.”

Soon after that, he grabbed the business opportunity. But it was not one without difficulties. “The initial stage of my business was met by trial and error. I had very little results if any,” he recalls. Despite the challenges he faced, Daniel learned many things while doing the Nu Skin business. He says, “This business really humbled me to learn my craft well and develop my skills to be able to accomplish the task at hand. Most people do not succeed in this kind of business because they do not give themselves time to learn and develop, which I think most business and skills require—a learning curve. Through the help of my mentors this learning curve was shortened to 6 months. I could remember my 3rd month in the business when my retail income was a measly PhP 800.”

The road to being a Blue Diamond was a tedious one for Daniel. He devoted 6 months to doing the business by constantly inviting, presenting, sponsoring and training people, reading books, and attending Blue Diamond Development (BDD)’s and New Distributors Training (NDT)’s day in and day out. Because of his hard work, he became an executive. “And that’s when things started to fly,” recalls Daniel.


Daniel relates that Nu Skin is more than just a business to him. “While it has become very rewarding financially, it has also given me the passport to tour around the world and the visa to touch the minds of and hearts of young people to get into entrepreneurship.”

Now a Blue Diamond after eight years of hard work, Daniel says his success is born out of what he learned in Nu Skin. “I attribute this success to two important things, belief and work ethics. Belief is, by far, the most important thing I learned in this business. Believe that your past and present will definitely not become your future and all the struggles that you have now are just temporary.


"People ask me why I work so hard in Nu Skin, I tell them it is because Nu Skin is my future and the future is wherein we will spend most of our time since it is what we look forward to. And if you believe that you will make it you will do whatever it takes to reach your goal, day in day out for the past 8 years has been a summation of work ethics, consistency, fortitude, perseverance and belief that one day all of this will result to a Blue Diamond.”
