The epidemic situation of the new coronavirus has greatly affected us from time to time. Force of Good Foundation* has been actively contacted and partnered with different social welfare and non-profit organizations since February to provide support for those in need in the society.
Last week, Force of Good Foundation* worked with HandsOn and supported the elderly and disadvantaged families in the community by donating and packing the "Caring Love Packs" for giving out as well as visiting the vulnerable families. We also encourage student volunteers from Fresh Fish Trader’s School to distribute the "Festival Love Packs" during the Dragon Boat Festival period to the aged and share the festive joy!
"To teach someone how to fish is better than to just give him a fish" – one of the genuine missions of the Force For Good Foundation*; Beneficiaries would understand they are not only the one who “take” but they could also have the power to “give” and help the others. For instance, while donating sanitary materials to visually- and hearing-impaired (VI and HI) people as well as People of Differences (PoDs), they are encouraged to learn to pack the Sanitary Caring Packs. Caring hotline team was developed to provide special care for people with psychological needs in the society, which built a two-way communications path of helping each other. Apart from the above, we worked closely with student volunteers to show our care for the elderly in the district, brought the important message of “it is more blessed to give than to receive”!
Together with the Force For Good effort with the Children’s Heart Foundation and Dialogue Experience since March, the Force For Good Foundation* has donated hand sanitizers, masks and sanitary products to health care workers, children with congenital heart disease and their families, also VI, HI people and PoDs. So far, the Force For Good Foundation* has supported people in need from different aspects through different donations, with a total of almost 5,500 beneficiaries.
