With the mission to be a force for good, Nu Skin is committed to empower the underprivileged and improve their lives. Nu Skin volunteer team joined hands with Tung Tak School to organize “Tai O Cultural Trip” on 14 July (Saturday), rewarding students who made significant progress on academic performance and moral conduct during the academic year and allowing them to enjoy a day with families in one of the oldest existing fishing villages in Hong Kong.
Although the weather was unsettled, all participants had a good time in Tai O. From following a docent to learn more about the stories and the rich heritage of Tai O through the idyllic village lanes, to making steamed glutinous rice dumpling by themselves, volunteers and students unveiled the cultural treasures together for the first time. In addition, they learnt how to make Tai O signature salted egg yolks in iconic stilt houses.
The trip ended in the rain but was full of laughter. We look forward to seeing more new faces to be a part of our force of good!
