Nu Skin Enterprises Hong Kong, Llc (Nu Skin Hong Kong), with its unremitting efforts in environmental protection, stood out among the well-known enterprises and recognized with the Merit Award of 2020 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE) in the Shops and Retailers sector, fully affirmed company's determination to become a green enterprise.
Nu Skin Hong Kong discharges its social responsibility of caring for the environment and fully implements it as company's operation strategies. As early as 2019, we committed to the creation of an environmental impact scoring system to evaluate and optimize the sustainability of products. In 2020, we repackaged our top 20 best-selling products to reduce the impact on the environment, such as our Nutricentials® Bioadaptive Skin Care System, which entirely uses sustainable packaging materials, to provide good skin care and the care for the environment. Meanwhile, we also committed that all our packaging will be reusable, recyclable and be more sustainable by 2030.
Green Corporate Social Responsibility is not only embodying in our commitment on the environmental protection of the products, but we also integrate the green concept into our company culture. We aim to create paperless environment and a better green future for everyone, and thus various electronic facilities, including interactive projection devices, self-service kiosks and electronic posters are already used in Nu Skin Plaza to replace the traditional promotional materials. In addition, we have also abandoned shopping paper bags and encouraged consumers to use reusable bags and estimated that nearly 4,500 paper bags are reduced every quarter.
The HKAEE and the HKGIA are led by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organisations. It aims to encourage organisations to implement environmental management, to measure organisations’ performance on their commitment to environmental management, and to recognise organisations with excellent performance on environmental management.
