Dear Partners, in the past year “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund” created history again, and it’s all because of your love and dedication! Up to August 2015, over 53 million RMB was raised by “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund” in the Greater China Region, and more than 4,000 children with congenital heart disease and their families were given new lives, happiness and hope were here again for them! In this year, “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund” expanded its footsteps from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Xinjiang, Shandong, Yunnan to Jilin, Heilongjiang and Guangdong, further covering the entire Greater China Region. At the same time, “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund”, hand-in-hand with the China Youth Development Foundation, will launch a joint rescue programme for children with congenital heart disease. It is expected to help more than 10,000 impoverished children suffering from congenital heart disease to resume a healthy life in the coming 10 years.
In the past 7 years, under the continued attention and support from the Partners, “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund” has gradually developed into a relatively complete congenital heart disease relief project in NU SKIN Greater China Region. A relief chain has now been completed by screening, sponsored treatment, volunteer service and medical training. It aims at helping sick children detect the disease in the early stage and sponsoring the surgeries in time, and through volunteer services bringing love and care to them. Moreover, a training programme for specialists in paediatric cardiology has been launched, and the prevention and cure of congenital heart disease continued to improve. Because of your support, only one child could be saved on average every three days at the beginning, “NU SKIN Greater China Children Heart Fund” has made it to one child on average every day and nowadays three children with heart disease are revitalised on average every day. However, while we are joyful about these sick children regaining their health, there are still more than two million children suffering from congenital heart disease in the Greater China Region and the number increases at a pace of 150,000-200,000 per year.
