On May 13, 2015, 10 volunteers from the NU SKIN Volunteer Team accompanied 16 kids from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children to visit the Ma Wan Beach.

With summer around the corner, both our volunteers and the energetic kids enjoyed the visit to the Ma Wan Beach. Under the blazing sun, the sea sparkled while the sand shined. The soft sand ran through the gap between the tiny fingers of the adorable children, some of them felt extra-excited as that was their first visit to a beach. Admirable smiles hung on their faces while they were dashing around the beach. Accompanied by our volunteers, the kids then had lunch at a traditional Chinese restaurant to savor various “Dim Sums”.

The NU SKIN volunteers who attended the activity are as below (listed not in sequence): Kay Ku (Captain), Li Si Yin Esther (Vice Captain), Linda Li, May Yu, Selina Tse, Raylin Hsieh, Chang Fang Fang, Chung Kam Man, Josephine Lai and Mon Yee. Their sharings are as followed:

“The children were active. They took off their shoes immediately when they saw the beach. They walked on sands, played with the sands and built sand castles. It was enjoyable. The volunteers also had fun. Thank you for all the arrangements. It was a worthwhile event!” Kay Ku said.
“Thanks to the nice weather! On a lovely morning, playing sands with a group of cute kids on the beach made me reminisce of my childhood.”Li Si Yin Esther said.
