April 17, 2015
The 28th Olympic Day Half Marathon, which will be held on June 6, 2015, will be the first road running event in Taiwan that meets the ISO 20121 standard for sustainable events management, which aims to create a clean, healthy and environment-friendly sporting environment. Indeed, this event is expected to build up a healthier and more environment-friendly sporting environment. With the recognition and trust of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC), NU SKIN has become the sole 17-year partner of CTOC since 1998 and sponsored Olympic Day Half Marathon for 7 consecutive times, sparing no efforts to constantly support CTOC’s Sport for All Movement. This year, NU SKIN will donate NT$200 to CTOC for each finisher of the event with an aim to donate over NT$ 2 million to support CTOC’s Sport for All Movement. In this way, each finisher of this event will become a promoter of sports events in the country. NU SKIN urges all participants to respond to the healthy and beautiful life movement and foresee a better self by running confidently in the event.
As CTOC’s long-term partner, NU SKIN encourages all its staff members to blend sports into life. “As a leading brand in nutrition and health care fields, we give paramount consideration to health. Now that sports and health are inseparable, other than sponsoring this event, NU SKIN plans to mobilize nearly 2,000 business partners, staff members and their family to participate in this road running event,” said Clare Tu, Director of Public Relations, Success & Branding Communications, NU SKIN Greater China. In order to encourage more people to participate in this event, the organizer invited Mr. Su Zhi-bin, local champion of Taipei International Marathon, and Mr. Ke Shi-jie, local champion of Kaohsiung International Marathon, to show up at the press conference to share their experience in time management and self-training for marathon, as well as blending sports into life. “By participating in the international standard Olympic marathon, I’ll also be an Olympic athlete on June 6,” they said, encouraging all people to participate and become Olympic athletes on that very day.
Registration for 2015 Olympic Day Half Marathon opens online from today to April 24, 2015. Three groups are available for registration: 21 km competition group, 21 km visually impaired group, and 2.5 km leisure group. This event is expected to attract over 10,000 participants to run among the beauties of New Taipei City and experience the delightful feeling of playing Olympic athletes. The organizer will arrange several interesting peripheral activities on the spot, including colored drawing of the Olympic rings, lucky draw on pictures posted on FB, and charity sale stands. All participants will be rewarded with multiple gifts, such as a limited edition T-shirt and mark cup printed with the symbol of Olympic rings, as well as the finisher certificate uniquely designed by the International Olympic Committee. NU SKIN invites all partners to register for the event on line immediately.
