Take a Sneak Peek at the Latest Year in Review

The Nu Skin Corporate Social Responsibility Year in Review 2009 is now available on The Source. This 32-page annual report summarizes the many inspiring projects the markets and their distributors have supported to help promote health, education and economic opportunities around the world.

Here are a few projects that are highlighted in the report:

In Malawi last year, the first class of 40 families graduated from the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) at Mtalimanja Village. Extension programs are ensuring that these families are able to implement the skills they learned and share the knowledge with others, including children, ensuring the ideals of self-sufficiency continue for generations.

Since 2005, VitaMeal has been served to children at the Home of Hope orphanage. The orphanage founder expressed that VitaMeal has had a major impact on the health of the children. Nearby, the Kauma Orphanage is home to more than 120 orphans and is one of the largest orphanages in Malawi. The orphanage has greatly benefited from regular donations of VitaMeal over the years.

In Southeast Asia, the markets and distributors have supported The Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund. This program has combined Foundation grants with distributor efforts in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia to fund 521 corrective heart surgeries for underprivileged children with congenital heart disease.

In Korea, force for good supporters in 2009 helped build two new libraries for elementary schools in rural towns. The children were excited to find that the new libraries were stocked with new books and also included new child-safe tables and chairs, a touch screen LCD TV, and iMac computers for their use.  Since 2008, a total of five libraries have been constructed and remodeled in Korea.
