Nu Skin Enterprises received two separate awards from Direct Selling News at its annual awards banquet in Dallas, Texas. The company was recognized with the Bravo Award for its humanitarian leadership for its Nourish the Children initiative and was honored again as a top-10 direct selling company. Direct Selling News will feature Nu Skin and its Nourish the Children initiative in its June 2012 awards issue.

“The most important measurement of our success is our ability to improve people’s lives through our innovative products, rewarding business opportunities and enriching, uplifting culture,” said Truman Hunt, president and CEO of Nu Skin. “We are honored that Direct Selling News has singled out Nu Skin for its humanitarian efforts, namely our Nourish the Children initiative. We started this initiative in 2002 to address the issue of hunger and malnutrition. Thanks to the giving and compassionate culture that we foster, together with our distributors, customers and employees, we’ve been able to donate more than 250 million nutritious meals to needy children throughout the world.”

The awards were presented at Direct Selling News’s Annual Top 100 Banquet in Dallas, Texas. Every year, the magazine publishes its annual DSN Global 100 list of the top 100 direct selling companies in the world, based on revenue. This is the first year the Direct Selling News has awarded the Bravo Award.

About Nourish the Children
Nu Skin’s Nourish the Children initiative is a pioneering social enterprise developed to effectively address the overwhelming problem of hunger and malnutrition. Nu Skin manufactures and sells a highly nutritious food—VitaMeal®—and allows distributors and customers to donate their purchase to charitable organizations that specialize in distributing food to alleviate famine and poverty.

Through the generosity of its distributors and customers, more than 250 million meals have been donated through the Nourish the Children initiative since its inception in 2002. An average of 2.1 million meals is donated each month on an ongoing basis. Nourish the Children has helped fight world hunger by supporting projects in many countries including China, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Malawi, Philippines and Thailand.
