Derek and Claudia Bentley: From Building Homes to Building A Nu Skin Business


When Derek Bentley was first introduced to the Nu Skin opportunity, he and his wife didn’t give it much thought.

“I was building homes and had no interest in the company at all,” Derek said.

At the time, Derek’s real estate company was doing well enough that he didn’t have a reason to focus on anything else.

But when the real estate market crashed, Derek and his wife Claudia knew they needed to look for an alternative.

‘We were losing business in our real estate company quickly,” he said. “We needed something to work.”

That’s when the Bentley’s decided to take a longer look at Nu Skin.

Two short years later, Derek and Claudia have successfully moved from building specialized homes to building a solid, viable Nu Skin business.

 “It has completely changed our lifestyle, everything about what we do,” Derek said. “We knew that there was something very different with this company.”

After deciding to take on the Nu Skin business full-time, Derek and his wife soon became Ruby Executives. And after even more hard work, they qualified to attend the March 2010 Blue Diamond Trip as new Blue Diamond Executives*.

While the Bentley’s have enjoyed the successes that come along with being a Blue Diamond Executive, their real love of the Nu Skin opportunity comes from being able to help other people succeed in life and in business.

“In this company, we get to help people all around the world and we get to feel good every day,” Derek said. “I can’t even begin to share with you how that can make you feel when you get to help share that with other people and see their lives change.”

The Bentley’s positive experience with Nu Skin is built on their respect for the Nu Skin vision.

“They (Nu Skin) have a global vision to make a difference in mankind around the world,” Derek said. “We knew that we could align ourselves with what they are about.”
