Lori Bush
Chairlady, Nu Skin Scientific Advisory Board


Lori Bush is currently the Chairlady of Nu Skin Scientific Advisory Board. She served as President of Nu Skin and brings to the company over 20 years of experience in consumer and health care product industries. Bush has initiated a technology acquisition strategy to support a robust pipeline of leading edge skin care products. She has positioned and launched key new products to strengthen Nu Skin's position as an innovative leader in skin care. These products include Nutricentials?, Epoch Baby? and Perennial? Intense Body Moisturizer. Bush earned her B.S. from Ohio State University and M.B.A. from Temple University.
Paul Alan Cox, Ph.D.,
Ethnobotanist


Dr. Cox currently serves as director and CEO of the congressionally chartered National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawaii and Florida. In 1997 Time Magazine honored Dr. Cox as one of 11 "Heroes of Medicine" for his ongoing search for new medicines from plants. For his efforts in saving tropical rainforests, in 1997 he shared the $75,000 Goldman Prize, known as the "Nobel Prize" of the environment.

Dr. Cox also shares something in common with Ralph Waldo Emerson. He too was honored with Harvard University's most prestigious literary award-the Bowdoin Prize-becoming one of the first individuals since Emerson to receive the award twice.
Michael Jeffrey Balick, Ph.D.,
Ethnobotanist


Currently, Dr. Balick is an adjunct professor at the City University of New York and the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University. He is also an adjunct senior research scientist at the Center for Environmental Research and Conservation at Columbia, and honorary research associate at the National Tropical Botanical Garden. He is a recent winner of the Janaki Ammal Medal for Ethnobotany from the Society for Ethnobotany.

Based on years of expertise and original research, Dr. Balick has authored and edited 14 books and numerous scientific papers, including his most recent book, "Checklist of the Vascular Plants of Belize" (New York Botanical Garden Press, 2000). He has also collaborated with Dr. Paul Cox to publish the book "Plants, People, and Culture".
Alfred T. Lane, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Chairman, Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine, Stanford University


Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University's School of Medicine, Dr. Lane is internationally recognized for his research in infant skin care. He has published over 90 scientific papers and coauthored one of the leading textbooks of pediatric dermatology, "Color Textbook of Pediatric Dermatology".
Michael N. Chang, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Advisor, Nu Skin Enterprises


Dr. Chang, Chief Scientific Advisor of Nu Skin Enterprises, has over 20 years of pharmaceutical experience. He is an expert at drug development and has vast managerial experience as the CEO & President of Optima Pharmaceuticals, Vice President of Research and Development for Pharmanex, the Director of Medical Chemistry at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer and Deputy Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Merck. He had directed several drug discovery projects and IND submissions. His research has resulted in more than 60 articles published in peer-review journals and 35 patents.
Etienne Soudant, Grande Ecole,
Chief Scientist of Isreali Biotechnology Research


Dr. Soudant, Chief Scientist of Isreali Biotechnology Research, has over 25 years of scientific experience. He is an expert in skin care science and currently serves as Vice President of Sciences and Technologies for the French Cosmetic Society. His research has resulted in more than 14 articles published in peer-review journals and 50 patents in the field of skin care.
Zoe Draelos, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Associate Professor of Dermatology, School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina


Dr. Draelos is a practicing board-certified dermatologist with a research interest in cosmetics, toiletries, and biologically active skin medications. She currently serves as the fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

She is also a member of Sigma Xi research honorary and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary. She is the author of the textbook "Cosmetics in Dermatology", now in its second edition, has contributed chapters on cosmetics to 23 textbooks and has published 260 papers.
Dr. Bryan Fuller Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center


He is currently an associate professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and also holds an adjunct professor position in the Department of Dermatology at the University. Dr. Fuller's research over the past 20 years has focused on the regulation of human skin pigmentation. This research has resulted in over 40 peer-reviewed publications related to pigmentation and 11 U.S. patents covering various commercial uses of pigmentation stimulators and inhibitors.

Besides, Dr. Fuller authored more than 35 peer-reviewed scientific articles on pigmentation, and received three-year focused giving award from Johnson & Johnson for his discovery of the cellular mechanisms that control differences in racial human skin color.
Patricia K. Farris, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor, Tulane University


Patricia K. Farris, M.D. is a clinical assistant professor a Tulane University School of Medicine and is in private practice in Metairie, Louisiana. Dr Farris is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Dermatologic Association (ADA) and Women's Dermatologic Society.

Dr Farris has special interest in the treatment of aging skin and has lectured internationally on this subject. She is an authority on topical treatments for aging skin and cosmeceuticals. She serves as a consultant to a number of cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies where she collaborates on product development, marketing strategies and clinical testing.
Alexa Boer Kimball, M.D., M.P.H.
Director of the Clinical Unit for Research Trials in Skin, Harvard Medical School


Alexa Boer Kimball, M.D., M.P.H., served as the Director of Clinical Trials in Dermatology, Stanford University, She is now serving as the chair of the Workforce Taskforce for the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the Society for Woman's Health Research Medical Health Advisory Board and the Advisory Panel of the American Association of Medical Colleges.

Dr. Kimball graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University and received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Her postgraduate training includes Chief Resident in Dermatology at Stanford University Medical Center and Clinical Fellow in Dermatology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She received her masters of public health degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, where she was inducted into Delta Omega Alpha.

Dr. Kimball has presented her work at national and international medical and scientific symposia and has contributed significantly to the medical literature with articles and abstracts published in journals such as "Archives of Dermatology" and "Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology".
Heidi Regenass, M.D.

An authority on cosmetic surgery procedures and anti-aging skin care, Dr. Regenass provides valuable insight to Nu Skin in the development of scientifically advanced anti-aging skin care products. She practices cosmetic surgery in both Phoenix, Arizona, and Salt Lake City, Utah, and also consults on topical anti-aging skin care alternatives. She performed her general surgery residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic and completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Utah. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Regenass earned a Master of Science in Health Education and ran her own business as a Corporate Health Specialist serving international companies. For more than 10 years, she has been dedicated to the holistic practice of mind/body medicine and health.
