The year was 1984 when an innovative idea took shape - an idea simple in scope yet powerful in its ability to touch lives throughout the world. Blake Roney was getting ready to start law school when his sister, Nedra, approached him with a new business venture: creating personal care products that contained all of the good and none of the bad, which means containing only beneficial ingredients without harmful ingredients, such as mineral oil and alcohol. Blake researched the idea and eventually established Nu Skin Enterprises. The initial products were put in unmarked, one-gallon containers. Customers had to bring their own containers and Blake filled these containers with a spoon.
The concept of 'All of the Good, None of the Bad' really worked out. The spoon that used to fill Nu Skin products in customer's containers is the starting point of the huge map of Nu Skin Enterprises. It is a reminder that the power to improve lives often starts with a small, simple first step.
