Jamie Metz was a high school teacher. She spent her time working the classroom and teaching kids scholastic lessons and life lessons alike.
But when Jamie fell ill and had to give up her love of teaching kids, she wasn’t sure where she would turn her attention to.
“I needed to get healthy,” she said. “I gave up everything to get healthy and actually started researching supplements that would help.”

“I work with my sister,” she said. “I love being able to work with my sister on a day-to-day basis and have that contact and that relationship with her.”
The business scared Jamie at first. But the fear she had of becoming a Nu Skin distributor was something that she used as fuel and motivation to keep going.
“The business scared me at first, and that’s one of the reasons I wanted to do it,” she said. “I saw it as a path to an enormous personal growth.”
Jamie’s time working with her sister has brought success—and was instrumental in getting Jamie a spot on the October 2009 Blue Diamond trip.
“My keys to success are persistence, just stay in there, hang in there, do something,” she said. “If you don’t know what to do, you do something
and just keep working every day and do it with passion.”
Now, with Nu Skin unleasing an anti-aging pioneer in ageLOC, Jamie knows the excitement and enthusiasm that comes from being a Nu Skin distributor.
“It’s hard to actually even get anybody to understand how amazing it is,” she said. “As distributors, it gives us a story that nobody else has. People know that it’s something different and something that they just can hardly even imagine.”
Jamie knows that the Nu Skin business is all about timing, and using this thought, she has worked hard to become one of the many successful distributors.
“Personal timing has got to be right for people to start the business,” she said. “It has to be a good time in their life.”
But, she added, the timing in the United States market is as good as it has ever been for taking on the Nu Skin opportunity.
“The timing in the market is huge, as far as people interested in health, and in the decline of health care in the United States,” she said.
