SEEING THE DIFFERENCE

Over 100 guests from ten countries around the world gathered to Malawi in June to witness the remarkable outcomes from their donations of VitaMeal. They visited the plant where VitaMeal is made locally and provides jobs and increased economic development. After tasting the maiz and soya bean porridge, they deemed it “delicious”. The donor guests visited community based child care centers where pre-school children from local villages gather daily for education and nutrition. Tears were shed as they listened to the children sing and dished VitaMeal into cups and bowls for each child.

Groups visited orphanages, crisis nurseries, and centers that help prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS—and left with the assurance that their VitaMeal donations are making a difference in Malawi. Some of the visitors met personally with the Vice-President of Malawi in her home where they received her sincere gratitude and praise. One visitor exclaimed, “It was one of the top ten experiences of my life…and I’ve lived a long time!” Another remarked, “So powerful! I had seen the videos but nothing compares to actually being there and handing the gorgeous little beings a bag of VitaMeal that will feed them for a month. There is nothing that compares to that feeling. Thank you!”
