KIDS CAUSE AND NU SKIN PARTNER UP FOR UTAH SCHOOLS
Nu Skin Donates 7,500 School Supply Kits to Utah County Students
PROVO, Utah—June 16, 2010—Nu Skin employees and their families gathered today to assemble 7,500 school kits during Nu Skin’s 7th Annual Force for Good Day. Nu Skin partnered with Kids Cause Foundation to provide and distribute school supplies and winter clothing to school children in Utah County.
“We’re delighted to partner with Nu Skin to have a jump start on the needs of school children this fall,” said Suzie Makin, executive director of Kids Cause Foundation. “With tightened family budgets and even tighter state and school district budgets, corporate and community partners, such as Nu Skin, are making a real difference for the children in our county.”
The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation made a grant to purchase school supplies for the 7,500 kits and Nu Skin employees donated gently used winter clothing for school children. Hundreds of employees and their families assembled the kits and sorted clothing for Kids Cause, while enjoying performances from Debi Richan, a favorite performer at the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival.
“Nu Skin’s Force for Good Day is representative of our company’s giving culture and our employees’ goodness,” said Blake Roney, Nu Skin founder and chairman of the board. “I am impressed with the continuous generosity of our employees and distributors as they willingly donate time and resources to serve their communities.”
Nu Skin’s annual Force for Good Day is also celebrated around the world in the company’s international offices. Local service activities, such as entertaining children in hospitals, renovating schools and conducting food drives, celebrate Nu Skin’s rich culture and history and support the mission of the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation to improve children’s health, education and economic needs.
