Nu Skin Force for Good Day
Force for Good Month
This year, Nu Skin celebrates 30 years of making a meaningful difference in the lives of people around the world. Throughout the month of June, employees across the EMEA region will participate in our annual Force for Good Day by devoting their time and resources to make a difference in their local communities. Take a look at some of the projects:
In May, Nu Skin Russia employees spent the day at the Khotkovo boarding school. This school caters to children aged 16 and 17 years who suffer from articulation and speech disorders. The team helped with a variety of activities, such as cleaning the area surrounding the school, gardening, organising lunch and playing with the children.
On 13 June, Nu Skin Northern Europe will host an event at our Showroom in Copenhagen where Distributors, family and friends are welcome. We also hope to raise awareness about the project at our offices in London and Oslo by informing Distributors and allowing them to make donations. The goal is to collect 30,000 DKK to be able to buy 30 beds for St. Nicolae Orphanage in Bucharest, Romania. Money will be collected through various exciting activities during our Force for Good Day in Copenhagen and during awareness weeks in Oslo and London.
On 13 June, 2014, the staff of Nu Skin EMEA will invite 200 Distributors from the Benelux area to take part in a Force for Good Day event at the Nu Skin EMEA headquarters in Brussels. The goal of this fun-packed one-day event is to get 3,000 meals donated to the Nourish the Children initiative. In addition, all money collected will be donated to a local Belgian charity called Moeders voor Moeders - an organisation that supports mothers with young children who have financial problems. They distribute food, children’s clothing, nursing equipment, school equipment, beds, etc.
On 13 and 20 June, Nu Skin South Africa employees and Ruby+ leaders will volunteer at Abraham Kriel Childcare (AKC). AKC offers both residential care and community services and focuses on providing shelter, care and rehabilitation to children between the ages of 0 and 18 years, who have been subjected to trauma, abuse, molestation, poverty and neglect.
In addition, the team will supply the library of Siyandlulisa in Vosloorus, Gauteng with educational books and toys.
On 20 June, employees from the Nu Skin Eastern Europe office will lend a helping hand to Budapest Honvéd Sport Club by painting the fence. Although the club is doing a great job in teaching children about the importance of having a healthy and active lifestyle, the resources spent on renovation is low and the sport complex in Dózsa György út is in bad condition. By buying the necessary supplies and doing the painting, Nu Skin Eastern Europe will make the surroundings better for the hundreds of children attending the sports club.
In September, Nu Skin Germany will organise a concert for cancer-stricken children at the Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V. Employees will help with the registration and collection of money that will go to support the organisation.
