Nu Skin Force for Good Day – 10th Anniversary
Every year in June, Nu Skin employees across the EMEA region roll up their sleeves and get actively involved in local community projects. This year, marks the 10th anniversary of our annual Force for Good Day activities. Employees seized the opportunity to demonstrate the Nu Skin difference – by giving a much needed hand to different organisations in their communities.
The Nu Skin Belgium employees teamed up in support of four organisations. Employees spent the day organising and painting classrooms at Cirkus in Motion, an organisation that uses circus as a mean to promote individual, social, motor and creative development. At Homevil, an organisation for mentally disabled adults, employees prepared lunch and took part in different fun activities. They also helped cooked and served warm meals to people living in poverty at Poverello. Finally, Nu Skin employees painted the classrooms at the Sint-Jan School, nursery and primary school in Leuven.
Nu Skin Germany employees organised a summer party for 200 children living with cancer as well as their families at the Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.
Similar to 2012, the Nu Skin Budapest employees split forces to support two children organisations. The first group visited a primary school in Tiszaföldvár where most of the 220 students are from underprivileged families. Nu Skin employees attended the school’s children’s day and supported the event by donating branded items, such as flasks and bathrobes. The second group of employees painted the fence and playpens at the Budapest Government Children’s Home for babies, infants and handicapped children aged 2-week to 4 years.
Nu Skin Russia employees spent the day at the Khotkovo boarding school, for children who suffer from articulation and speech disorders. The team helped with a variety of activities, such as cleaning the area surrounding the school, painting the curbs, gardening and playing with the children.
Nu Skin South Africa employees visited a Ministry called Siyandlulisa that educates and ensure that children in the surrounding communities are looked after, fed and clothed. Nu Skin employees helped to set up their new library with educational books and toys. In addition, they prepared food and clothing hampers.
