Blake Roney

Chairman of the Board


Blake Roney is the Chairman of Nu Skin Enterprises. Blake was one of the founders of the company and its President and CEO from its inception in 1984 until 1996, when he took on the Chairman position. Today Nu Skin Enterprises is one of the largest direct selling companies in the world, and its products are sold in 48 markets throughout the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. The company's stock is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Nu Skin Enterprises offers distinct business opportunities specializing in consumer products and services sold through direct sales. Nu Skin Enterprises markets personal care products, nutritional products and technology products.

Blake Roney earned an academic degree in business finance from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management in 1983. In 2004 Mr. Roney was identified as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Utah by Utah Business magazine. In 2003 he received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from Salt Lake Community College. The father of eight children, he serves on several community and university boards and is active in civic and church organizations.

Steven J. Lund

Vice Chairman of the Board, Executive Director of Nourish the Children

Steven J. Lund currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Nu Skin Enterprises. Previously, Mr. Lund served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2003 and before that as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nu Skin Asia Pacific (NSAP) from November 1996 to May 1998. Mr. Lund also served as Executive Vice President of Nu Skin International (NSI) since its inception in 1984.

Before joining Nu Skin Enterprises, Mr. Lund was an attorney with a private law firm specializing in litigation and products liability law. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School (1983). He is a member of the Utah, Arizona, and American Bar Associations and has served on the board of directors for the Direct Selling Association.

Truman Hunt
President, Chief Executive Officer


Truman Hunt was appointed president of Nu Skin Enterprises in January 2003, and was named chief executive officer in May 2003. Under his leadership, the company conducts business in 48 markets, with recent expansion into China, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

Hunt is also active in industry associations, most recently serving as chairman of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) from 2005 to 2008. As chairman, he was committed to expanding the influence of local direct selling associations, fostering a positive regulatory environment, further strengthening industry ethics and increasing the stature of direct selling among key constituencies.

He is focused on the company's mission to be a force for good throughout the world by empowering people to improve lives with rewarding business opportunities, innovative products, and an enriching, uplifting culture. Hunt serves on the advisory boards for the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation and Nourish the Children Initiative.

Prior to his current appointment, Hunt served as vice president and general counsel of Nu Skin Enterprises from 1996 to January 2003. He was also named executive vice president of Nu Skin Enterprises in January 2001 and served as vice president of Legal Affairs from September 1996 to May 1998.

Prior to joining Nu Skin Enterprises, he was president and chief executive officer of Better Living Products, Inc., a Nu Skin affiliate involved in the manufacture and distribution of houseware products sold through traditional retail channels. Prior to joining Better Living Products in 1991, he was a securities and business attorney in private practice. Hunt earned a B.S. degree from Brigham Young University and a J.D. degree from the University of Utah.

Sandie N. Tillotson
Senior Vice President


Sandie Tillotson serves as Senior Vice President of Nu Skin Enterprises. In 1984, Sandie helped found Nu Skin International, assisting in the development of the original Nu Skin product line and the establishment of the global marketing plan. She served as Vice President of Nu Skin International from 1984 through 1998. In 1993, Ms. Tillotson was named one of the top 10 female business owners in the U.S. by Working Woman magazine. In 2001, Ms. Tillotson was named one of the 50 "Women of the New Millennium" by Feminine Fortunes magazine. She was awarded this honor along with the likes of Katie Couric, Oprah Winfrey and Sandra Day O'Connor. Sandie earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Brigham Young University and has taught in various Utah public schools. Today, Sandie enjoys her many roles as a mother, philanthropist and businesswoman.


Senator E.J. "Jake" Garn
United States Senate, Retired

E.J. "Jake" Garn has served as a director of our company since March 1997. Senator Garn served as a Managing Director of Summit Ventures, LLC, a lobbying firm, from 2000 to 2004. From 1993 to 2000 he served as the Vice Chairman of Huntsman Corporation, one of the largest privately held companies in the United States at the time. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Franklin Covey & Co., Inc., a provider of time management seminars and products and Headwaters, Inc., a provider of products, technologies and services to the energy, construction and home improvement industries. From 1974 to 1993, Senator Garn was a member of the United States Senate and served on numerous Senate Committees. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Utah.


Daniel W. Campbell
Managing General Partner, EsNet, Ltd.

Daniel W. Campbell has served as a director of our company since March 1997 and currently serves as our Lead Independent Director. Mr. Campbell has been a Managing General Partner of EsNet, Ltd., a privately held investment company, since 1994. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Campbell was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of WordPerfect Corporation, a software company, and prior to that was a partner of Price Waterhouse LLP. He currently serves as a director of The SCO Group, Inc., a provider of software solutions for businesses. He received a B.S. degree from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Andrew D. Lipman
Partner, Bingham McCutchen, LLP

Andrew D. Lipman has served as a director of our company since May 1999. Since 1988, Mr. Lipman has been a partner and head of the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Group of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Swidler Berlin, LLP. Swidler Berlin recently merged with Bingham McCutchen LLP, an international law firm, and Mr. Lipman continues his position with Bingham McCutchen. From 1987 to 1997, Mr. Lipman also served as Senior Vice President for Legal and Regulatory Affairs for MFS Communications, Co., a competitive telecommunications provider. He also currently serves as a member of the boards of directors of MPower Telecom, a provider of local and long distance telecommunications services, Sutron Corporation, a provider of hydrological and meteorological monitoring products and The Management Network Group, Inc., a telecommunications-related consulting firm. He received a B.A. degree from the University of Rochester and a J.D. degree from Stanford University.


Patricia A. Negrón
Financial/Business Analyst; Author

Patricia Negron has served as a director of our company since June 2005. Ms. Negron is currently an independent business consultant, author and advisor to Goode Partners, LLC. In 1999, Ms. Negron launched the financial advisory group at Breakaway Solutions, an internet consulting firm, which she managed until 2001. From 1996 to 1999, Ms. Negron was a research analyst at the investment banking firm of Adams Harkness & Hill. She began her career in 1992 as an equity analyst in the asset management division of the United States Trust Company of Boston. She received a B.S. degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University and a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University Extension School.


Thomas R. Pisano
President and CEO, Overseas Military Sales Corp.

Pisano's career has spanned 40 years, with 25 years in the direct selling industry. A seasoned veteran from Avon, Pisano held key leadership positions at the company including vice president of global business development, area vice president for the Americas, area vice president for Latin America/Pacific. Currently, Pisano serves as president and chief executive officer of Overseas Military Sales Corp. which operates in 30 countries worldwide. Prior to this role, Pisano worked as the company's chief operating officer for five years. He also spent two years as vice president and head of The Topps Company's international division. Pisano graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in industrial management, and holds a master's of business administration from Dartmouth College with an emphasis in finance and marketing.


Nevin N. Andersen
Retired

Andersen is an accomplished professional with more than 40 years of experience in various financial management roles. Andersen spent nearly 24 years with Shaklee Corporation in various financial roles, including serving as Shaklee's chief financial officer from April 1990 through early 2003 when he retired. In 2005, Shaklee asked Andersen to return to serve as an interim chief financial officer and assist with the transition to a new chief financial officer, which concluded in February of this year. Prior to his work at Shaklee, Andersen worked with the auditing firm Price Waterhouse & Co. for 10 years and as an officer in the U.S. Army Finance Corps. Andersen graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in accountancy.


David D. Ussery
Retired

A direct selling veteran, Ussery has helped shape the industry by serving in strategic leadership positions for more than 50 years. He began his career with Avon where he worked for more than 30 years in a variety of management roles, including vice president of U.S. field operations, vice president of the company's Pacific field operations, and as area vice president and chairman of the board for Avon Japan, the company's second-largest organization at the time. Most recently, Ussery served as president and representative director for Amway in Japan and Korea. In addition, he served in various leadership roles throughout Asia since joining the company in 1992. Ussery graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in management.

Joseph Y. Chang, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President, Product Development

Joseph Y. Chang, Ph.D., was appointed Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Development in February 2006. Dr. Chang enjoys a comprehensive knowledge of both the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries and serves as a member of the Executive Committee for Nu Skin Enterprises. He formerly served as president and chief scientific officer of Pharmanex. Prior to Pharmanex, Dr. Chang served as both president and chief scientific officer at Binary Therapeutics, Inc. from 1994 to 1997 and at OsteoArthritis Sciences, Inc. from 1991 to 1994. He has also held various executive research management positions at Wyeth-Ayerst, Rhone Poulenc Rorer and other biotechnology companies, where he was involved in researching natural products for arthritis and cancer treatment. A prolific author, Dr. Chang has published numerous articles, reviews and books on pharmacological research during his nearly 20 years in the health care industry. He received a B.S. degree from Portsmouth University and a Ph.D. from the University of London.

Daniel R. Chard
President-Global Sales and Operations

Daniel Chard was promoted to the position of President-Global Sales and Operations. Prior to his current appointment, Chard served as executive vice president of distributor success and president of Nu Skin, Europe. He has worked in a variety of strategic management positions including senior vice president of marketing and product management at Broadlane and Promedix (subsidiary of Ventro Corporation). He has also worked as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Big Planet and as a Senior Director of Marketing and Product Development at Pharmanex. Prior to joining Pharmanex, Chard worked for PUR, Recovery Engineering as the Director of Marketing. He also spent six years in marketing management with Pillsbury. Mr. Chard holds a B.A. degree in economics from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota.


Scott Schwerdt(LowRes)

Scott Schwerdt

President, Americas, Europe and South Pacific

Scott Schwerdt was named President for the Americas and Europe in March 2006. Prior to his appointment, Schwerdt served as President of North America for Nu Skin Enterprises. He also served as Vice President of North America/South Pacific Operations from 1992-1996, and as Vice President of Europe for Nu Skin Enterprises from February 1996 to December 1998. He joined Nu Skin Enterprises in 1988 as a Communications Representative and in December 1989 became Director of Distributor Services. Prior to joining Nu Skin, he was a Senior Resource Manager at the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. from 1984 to 1988. Schwerdt earned a B.A. degree in international relations from Brigham Young University.


RitchWood

Ritch N. Wood
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Ritch Wood was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in November 2002. Mr. Wood had served as Vice President of Finance since July 2002. He was promoted to Vice President, New Market Development in May 2001 after working as the Director of Finance, New Market Development since January 1997. Previously, Mr. Wood served as the Division Controller for Pharmanex. He also played a key role in opening many European countries for Nu Skin during an expatriate assignment from 1995 to 1997. Prior to his assignment in Europe, he served as the Assistant Director of International Tax. A certified public accountant, Mr. Wood worked for the international accounting firm of Grant Thornton prior to joining Nu Skin Enterprises in 1993. Mr. Wood earned a B.S. and Master of Accountancy, Taxation emphasis, from Brigham Young University in 1991.

D. Matthew Dorny
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

D. Matthew Dorny was appointed General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer in March 2006. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President and General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel for Nu Skin Enterprises. Prior to joining Nu Skin Enterprises, Mr. Dorny was a securities and business attorney in private practice. Mr. Dorny received a B.A., M.B.A. and J.D. degree from the University of Utah.

Luke Yoo(LowRes)

Luke Yoo

President, North Asia Region and Korea

Luke Yoo is the president of the North Asia region and also serves as president and general manager of Nu Skin Korea. Yoo joined Nu Skin as vice president of Nu Skin Korea in December 1998 and continued as the general manager of the Pharmanex Division for Nu Skin Korea until September 2003. In October 2003, Yoo was appointed president and representative director of Nu Skin Korea. Prior to joining Nu Skin, he was a partner consultant at East West Consulting in the United States. He received bachelor’s degrees in both business management and computer science at Brigham Young University-Hawaii. He also studied at the graduate school of the University of Hawaii.


Brett Nelson(LowRes)

Brett Nelson

President, North America

Brett Nelson serves as the president of the Nu Skin North America region. Prior to his current position he fulfilled a two-year appointment as the president of the North Asia region and concurrently served as the president of Nu Skin Japan. Nelson has had various responsibilities at Nu Skin including vice president of global distributor support, president of Southeast Asia, general manager of Canada and vice president of business support and sales. With nearly 20 years of experience with the company, Nelson has extensive knowledge of the development of business strategies, representative relations, special events and global support. He has been involved with the development of several new and established markets. Nelson earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University studying Korean.

Scott Schwerdt was named President for the Americas and Europe in March 2006. Prior to his appointment, Schwerdt served as President of North America for Nu Skin Enterprises. Ryan Napierski

President, Japan
Ryan Napierski serves as the president of Nu Skin Japan. Prior to his current appointment he was the vice president of business development for the North Asia region. Napierski has fulfilled multiple positions for Nu Skin since joining the company in 1995, including a dual role overseeing corporate strategy for the Japan market and acting as vice president of global business development for corporate distributor success, acting as general manager for the United Kingdom, vice president of european business development and key account manager for United States executives. Napierski has a bachelor’s degree in business, a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University and a master’s degree in international business from Goethe Universitat in Germany.

 


Melisa Quijano(LowRes)

Melisa Quijano

President, Southeast Asia

Melisa Quijano serves as the president of the Southeast Asia region, bringing nearly 30 years of sales and marketing experience to the role. Previously, Quijano was the vice president of market services for the company's global Distributor Success Organization based in the U.S. She also served as regional director for Southeast Asia, general manager for Nu Skin Malaysia and Nu Skin Thailand and regional marketing director for the Southeast Asia region. Melisa serves as an honorary board member of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation of Thailand, a board member of the CHILD Foundation in the Philippines and board member of the Southeast Asia Children's Heart Fund. Prior to joining Nu Skin Enterprises, Quijano had management positions for the Asian operations of Tupperware, Sara Lee Direct Selling Asia, S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. and Warner Lambert Inc. Quijano earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines where she was a University Scholar.


Andrew Fan(LowRes)

Andrew Fan

President, Greater China Region

Andrew Fan is the president of the Greater China region, overseeing Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Previously he served as the regional president of the Southeast Asia region. He is a founding employee in Asia for Nu Skin Enterprises, and since 1991 has supported and participated in the successful opening of twelve markets in Asia. Fan graduated from the City University of Hong Kong in 1988. In January 2007, he was appointed as a member of the council of the university and as the founding chairman of convocation for the university. In September 2009, Fan was named an Honorary Fellow of City University for his contributions to the university, business community and society at large and has subsequently been honored with the university’s first Distinguished Alumni Award. Currently, he is the chairman of the China Children Heart Surgeries Fund under the Shanghai Charity Foundation, an honorary board member to the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation of Thailand and also a committee member for the ASEAN Children Heart Surgery Fund under the foundation.

In the direct selling industry, Fan is the elected representative for Asia sitting on the Association Advisory Council of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations. Previously, he served as a member of the board of directors for the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations from 2000 to 2006; in the executive committee of the Hong Kong Direct Selling Association from 1997 to 2002, including two terms as the president; and also in the executive committee and membership committee for the Direct Selling Association of Singapore in 2002. In the last 20 years, Fan lived and worked in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macau, Taipei, Jakarta, Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He currently resides in Shanghai.
