Seacology Approved New Education Project in Fiji

Secology, a partner of the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation, has just approved the much-needed construction of a kingergarden in Fiji. Kindergarden children at the Qumusea school have never before had their own building in which to study and learn.  Once the kindergarden is built, these young children will be able to better succeed in school.

New Malawi Families Offered Life-Changing Education

The School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) Malawi enrolled 29 families in August, giving them the opportunity to learn proper agricultural techniques and improve their quality of life.

 

Ronnie Park Named Force for Good Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

At the 2011 Nu Skin Force for Good Gala, Ronnie Park from South Korea was named the Lifetime Achievement Award Winner. Mr. Park has played an integral part in establishing the one percent commission deduction donation program in Korea—a program that has now spread to 23 markets and has raised significant funds to help worthy children’s projects.

When Nu Skin distributor leaders in Europe heard that winter was approaching and children in Malawi were in desperate need of blankets to keep warm, they immediately wanted to get involved.

 

Nu Skin Recognized for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility

Nu Skin was recently praised for a second year with two Communitas Awards for outstanding corporate social responsibility programs through the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation. The awards recognize the foundation’s ongoing support of the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) at Mtalimanja Village in Malawi, as well as a collective of grants to help improve the education of children around the world.

 

Foundation Celebrates Malawi Graduates: Families Learn Life Skills at Mtalimanja Village

On the morning of June 18, 64 students dressed in traditional graduation caps and gowns were joined by more than 1,000 Malawian and international guests to celebrate the completion of a two-year agricultural program from the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI) at Mtalimanja Village.

 

Groundbreaking Donations Provide Relief for Japan

July 18, 2011—Participating in today’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Nu Skin Innovation Center were Team Elite distributors who made the winning bid to be part of this historic event. A major source of funding for the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation is through auctions and at this year’s annual Team Elite incentive trip in New York City four distributor teams pledged $25,000 for disaster relief efforts in Japan.

Seacology Updates Two Island Schools

The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation continues its ongoing partnership with Seacology to improve the education and environment of young islanders. This year, two communities will benefit from educational advancements funded by grants from the Foundation to Seacology. In exchange for updated educational facilities the island communities of Wanang and Ketei agree to environmental preservation.

 

Nu Skin Family Meets Goal of Raising $1.2 million for Japan Disaster Relief Efforts (April 2011)

This message is to update you on the status of the Nu Skin’s efforts to provide relief to those in Japan suffering from the impact of the March 11th earthquake and tsunami, as well as the resulting radiation emanating from the Fukushima nuclear energy plant.

Each year, Nu Skin employees and distributors around the world demonstrate their commitment to be a force for good through service-oriented Force for Good celebrations. Following are a few examples of the worthwhile projects that our global markets sponsored in June.

 

Napoleon Dzombe Wins National Achiever Award (June 2010)

Long-time partner of Nu Skin Enterprises and Malawian businessman and philanthropist Napoleon Dzombe received the 2009 Nation Achiever Award to recognize the impact his generosity and business and educational ventures have had on the people of Malawi.

 

Force for Good Foundation Grant Rebuilds School in Haiti (May 2010)

Before the devastating earthquake in Haiti earlier this year, the 47 nuns and teachers at St. Francois de Sales Primary and Secondary School worked hard to give their 11,000 students an education, food and much needed healthcare.

 

Nu Skin Responds to China Yushu Earthquake (April 2010)

In response to the recent 7.1-magnitude earthquake in the Tibetan Yushu County of Qinghai Province, Nu Skin has donated more than $1 million in cash and in-kind donations to aid the rescue workers and survivors.

 

Nu Skin Wins Two Awards for Force for Good Efforts (March 2010)

Nu Skin continues to receive accolades for its force for good culture. Nu Skin received two Communitas Awards – one for excellence in community service and one for excellence in social responsibility.

 

Nu Skin Responds to Haiti Earthquake (Feb. 2010)

Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the Nu Skin family has demonstrated its force for good culture with an outpouring of support for those affected by the tragedy. To date, the company and its distributors are donating more than $1 million in cash and product to the Haiti relief efforts.

 

Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation sponsors 18 heart surgeries in the Philippines (January 2010)

Thanks to generous contributions from Nu Skin distributors and the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation, in 2009 18 children successfully underwent heart surgery in the Philippines. Partnering with the Child Health in Life and Development (CHILD) Foundation, we provided the funds necessary to save the lives of these children who were diagnosed with congenital heart defects and whose families were unable to pay for the procedure due to economic difficulties.
