NU SKIN CONGRATULATES DR. LESTER PACKER ON PRESTIGIOUS HONOR FROM THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT
PROVO, Utah—Nov. 9, 2012—Nu Skin congratulates Scientific Advisory Board Member, Dr. Lester Packer, Ph.D., on being promoted from “Knight” to Official “Officer” in the National Order of Merit by the French Government at a ceremony at the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris.
The ceremony was conducted by Professor Luc Montagnier, a Nobel Prize winner in Medicine. Dr. Packer received the award for his lifetime scientific achievements in the field of antioxidants and free radical biology. This Order of Merit is given for outstanding civil and military achievements and is among the highest honors the French Government can bestow.

In addition to the National Order of Merit, Dr. Packer also recently received the Trevor Slater Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 16th Biennial Meeting for the Society of Free Radical Research International (SFRRI).
About Dr. Lester Packer, Ph.D.
Lester Packer received his Ph.D. in microbiology and biochemistry in 1956 from Yale University. In 1961, he joined the University of California at Berkeley serving as professor of cell and molecular biology and in 2000 became adjunct professor pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Southern California. Dr. Packer has edited more than 100 books and authored over 800 articles that have generated more than 33,000 citations (average of 580 citations per year).
